Nothing in the rules against it, but Viva thought it was dodgy and not allowed yesterday

You're both up for the Harry Redknapp Wheeler Dealer award too, by the way. The winner will be drawn from a baggy brown envelope in a back alley.

Yes and I still stand by that but because its allowed I am going to take advantage of it.

I'm not gay, I'm only pretend gay just like I'm a pretend manager. Dissapointed that I've been put up for the dodgy award when I have never done anything dodgy. I don't boost up my budget like some people who have been given great responsbility by Hero to mod the forums. Whistle

An old girlfriend of mine's dad was a big manager for Barclays, handling lots of important clients.

One of his jobs was, on the first of every month, to fly out to Spain to meet with one of their biggest clients, a Mr El Tel.

Each month he'd hand over several sports bags of pesetas - all in big notes - for 'paying in' to his accounts.

El Tel was blatantly doing dodgy deals because he could have paid that money in at any Spanish bank Laugh

Not a massive surprise to me...

He used to go to school fairly close to where I now live, pretty dodgy place too.

I love Keys and Gray on TalkSport.

Basically just revealed the real reason Darren Bent was dropped by Villa and is on his way out, by saying he's made 47 appearances since joining, and the £18m fee rises to £23m when he hits 50 appearances...

Villa are sneaky buggers...

My best mate (a Villa fan) told me about that clause a few weeks ago, and was surprised Villa were wasting him as a sub. Thing is, by not playing him they're ruining his value, so that £18m, which was already probably only about £10m, is now maybe worth £6m-7m.

I hate Bent so I couldn't care less, but still...

It's more that if it was going on in another section I'd be clamping down on it so I have to maintain that across the board, I know everyone takes it in jest but to a passing observer it doesn't look good.

Cheers.

Very true Laugh

Thing is, Henderson was looking like a GREAT talent at Sunderland, he goes to Liverpool, and looks rubbish. Downing was looking good too. I think the whole club was mis-handled - first by Hodgson (buying players not good enough) and then Dalglish (picking the wrong players / not developing the youth). Rodgers has some great talent to work with, but he has to play the kids and let them make mistakes.

Quite why Nuri Sahin isn't second on their team-sheet, I'll never know. That guy has more talent than Sterling, Allen and Suso combined.

That could work, good idea Uncle Fan. Downing + a token fee (£4m?) = Bent

Villa reduce the wage bill, get rid of a liability that they can't afford to play, and get a winger to cross balls for Benteke. Liverpool get a proven goalscorer who will be desperate to play well and get back in the England squad!

On behalf of Villa I accept clap

Henderson was looking goot at S'land but his development just seems to have stopped, even gone backwards!

Downing wasnt actually bad at Villa but I think with him its big fish small pond and now hes in a larger tank hes failed to swim.

The whole club was a joke at one point. Still is in some instances. Loaning Carroll out thinking Dempsey was coming in then bidding some measly amount for Dempsey when they knew the figure that was secure him.

Nuri Sahin has a rep based on his Dortmund form. He is not and has not been that player for a while. Occasionally there might be a small small glimpse of it but hes got a lot of work to do. Doesnt help being at Liverpool either.

knowing Liverpool and there dealings it will be Downing + £10m lol

I know Downing has been p poor since joing Liverpool but he played well for Villa, sometimes a big club is just a step to far. Villa are a big club just not as big as Liverpool..and expectations are not as high..

Henderson looked good for England when he came on for Parker against Italy at the Euros. He needs some faith to be shown in him, and regular games. If Football Manager has shown me anything, it's that your kids won't develop without game time.

Sahin has looked pretty darn good the three times I've seen him this season. One of those was at the Hawthorns where he took us apart in a team of kids, up against a pretty good Albion team.

Azzy banging on about Henderson but slates Cleverly hahaha. Sorry but if you rate that pile of crap over Cleverly somethings wrong.

Henderson does not look better at Liverpool infact he looks like a worse player, he has no pressure like CLeverly to put in Championship winning performances winning every single game convincgly. ALl he has to do is pass the ball 5 yards and struggles to do that.

Rio won't know how to deal with the Divine Ponytail, he'll be all over the place putting his back muscles out and not being able to take the physical beast from Newcastle. He'll wish he had Tevez's hand up his bum again - anything will be better than facing big Andy.

Viva, Ando should start today, he was fantastic when he came on against QPR are really changed the game. He can look after himself in midfield. Just gotto watch out for that dirty scum bag Nolan with his filthy challanges. How he gets away with so many is unbelieveable.

I agree Zidane, Anderson has been looking good recently but I'm still dissapointed with his progress 5 years at the club and he hasn't made much of an impact. He does offer us the power and crunch in midfield with decent passing ability.

First and second season were good. Take that you your left with 2 injury ravaged season and 1 season of un-regular playing time.
Im hoping hes gets a run of games & cements a place. He is exactly what we need against the lesser teams like OPR, West Ham, that bite in midfield to stop us getting overrun

If United could've tricked somebody into paying good money for Anderson he'd be gone. As it stands the only reason he sticks around is because he cost so much initially.

First and second season were good. Take that you your left with 2 injury ravaged season and 1 season of un-regular playing time.
Im hoping hes gets a run of games & cements a place. He is exactly what we need against the lesser teams like OPR, West Ham, that bite in midfield to stop us getting overrun

Ahem, 8th in the league raspberry

Anderson's used his one good game this year, maybe he'll use next year's in January and make someone buy him off of you?

Azzy, I tend to ignore you about United as your so biased you actually do turn into a waste of time listening too.
Instead of a football fans opinion you get a douche tesco carrier bags pointless view. No offence tho #JustSaying

Haha, BITE! I said lesser Soddy not Poor/Small team. Your 8th and your doing well, playing like a Big Sam team does. You will stay up quite easily. But to Man United you are one of these team we struggle against, you take the game to us, overrun us. Thats why against you guys we need that type of midfielder to grab the game by the scruff. Without that we could slip up against you. We could even with but id fancy our chances more with the type of midfielder playing.
So im happy Ando will be starting today (Going on what SAF said).

Yes, 8th is lesser than 1st Wink

Zebs, I've long since tuned you out when it comes to United, as you're so unbelievably biased towards your own team that you won't hear a bad word against them.

Carrick = poor man's Barry
Scholes = needs to retire as he's embarrassing himself
Anderson = worthless tripe, 10 good minutes against QPR and suddenly he's great
Nani = woefully inconsistent
Evra- so bad it's unreal
Rio - well past his prime, Fergie should get shot of him
De Gea - not the super keeper everyone hoped he'd be, you should sell him too

If you can't agree with even one bit of that, then you're a lost cause.

I like RVP, I like Powell, I like Vidic, but let's face it - if any team in the Prem had been playing well (City or Chelsea), then they'd be streets clear at the top.

Nah, you'll win like 3-0. We don't play well away from home, only beat Newcastle because it turns out they are worse than we are!
