Wanting to develope a team for 2015 and you've got Blair at 9. Most odd

And why does everyone go on about Hogg? He is not that good. He has had one flash of brilliance for scotland but that was an age ago. Since then he has been crap in attack. Always taking it into contact. His defence is terrible. Can't cover tackle and his positioning is poor.

Another who has been taken in a little by all the hype! An example of what I was saying earlier a few good performances and then elevated to "superstar" to early. Could start by learning to pass and not take it into contact everytime!

Blair should retire, it's time to move on.

We shouldn't be writing Hogg off yet, cause he's still very young, but he's flattered to deceive a bit after a promising start

In his defence, he was selected to start for Scotland straight back from injury without any opportunity to regain form in a Glasgow jersey. I was also impressed with his kicking from hand yesterday, which has improved, but it was a mixed performance in general, and he made little progress on the counter attack.

Thing is, who else should have played? The form 15 would have probably been Tonks, but like every other Edinburgh player, he's been rotated and also not given any sort of opportunity to settle. Plus being an attacking fullback in the Edinburgh side this season can't help.

Whilst the new head coach will need to have 2015 firmly in mind, he certainly shouldn't be chucking in kids for the sake of it. Selecting Gilchrist over Hamilton, Fusaro over Rennie and Bennett over anyone is utterly stupid at this stage. The best XV players does not change overnight, and over the last 12 months I don't think AR's selections have been to awry. It's his reputation as a coach and a motivator that has taken the biggest battering since the WC, he simply isn't getting players to play to their potential.

Form and injuries permitting, my pencilled in Scotland XV for the 6 Nations would be as follows:

1. Grant 2. Ford 3.Murray 4.Hamilton 5.Gray 6.Brown 7.Rennie 8.Denton 9.Cusiter 10.Laidlaw 11.Visser 12.Scott 13.Ansbro 14.Maitland 15.Hogg

Hardly a sea change from the side that is currently disappointing us, but I don't see any quick fixes in terms of personnel, certainly not based on any rugby evidence. Coaching, tactics and motivation is the way forward. For starters Tonga looked the better drilled side, and with their resources that is totally unacceptable.

No they don't - lower down the rankings and so few wins

Robinson is an honbest man poromoted beyond his abilities. I feel sorry for hium personally but he has been an utter disaster as a Scotland coach.

We have the best group of players we have had for a generation - but hehas ruined some of them.

From selecting Parks instead of Laidlaw to start the last 6N to his insitance on playing people out of position. what he did was decide how he weante hte game played and try to mould a team to do that - what he should have done is mould the tactics to the players.

Just look at his record - it speaks for itself

He should have gone in the 6N after picking Parks to face England and ignoring the clearly in form Laidlaw and Blair.

He shouldve gone after leading Scotland to an away victory over Australia and best summer tour in the professional era.

At least then he wouldnt be remembered as a complete t1t.

Biscuit, I actually think that the two victories in Argentina the summer before were more impressive - the win in Oz only seems good cos Wales failed at the same task (3x) - just kidding Wink
