i agree with this, everytime i watched him i thought he looked like a great player but martinez kept dropping him or not starting him. must be something fishy about his character to let him go on a free transfer

I just don't think he fits into their style, he's too direct, big and powerful. I think he Martinez prefers smaller, more nimble footballers.

I also have a feeling that it may have been Diame refusing a new contract rather than Wigan not offering him a new one.
