Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
First topic message reminder :
How poxed lucky are Ulster? They get to play the 2nd place team in the league....away.....on the weekend that Wales play Australia.
On the other hand it is on a Sunday and their HC game v Northampton is on the following Friday.
So, a few swings mixed in with the roundabouts there. Especially considering Northampton have their game on the Friday.
I'm sure Ulster will cope. Better off having the 2 away matches in a row IMHO
Ulster Team:
P Nelson; A Trimble, D Cave, L Marshall, C Gilroy; P Jackson, P Marshall;
(1-8): C Black, R Herring, J Afoa, J Muller (c), N McComb, I Henderson, R Diack, R Wilson;
Replacements (16-23): R Best, T Court, R Lutton, D Tuohy, M McComish, M Heaney, N O’Connor, T Bowe.
Scarlet's Team:
15. Dan Newton 14. Kristian Phillips 13. Gareth Maule 12. Gareth Owen 11. Andy Fenby 10. Aled Thomas 9. Gareth Davies 1. Phil John 2. Emyr Phillips 3. Jacobie Adriaanse 4. Johan Snyman 5. Richard Kelly 6. George Earle 7. Johnathan Edwards (capt) 8. Kieran Murphy
Replacements
16. Kirby Myhill 17. Shaun Hopkins 18. Deacon Manu 19. Tomas Vallejos 20. Craig Price 21. Aled Davies 22. Adam Warren 23. Nick Reynolds

Ah Neily lad, he'll come on and score a corker of a try towards the end
I feel cold just watching this. It's freezing and raining there. That might make the pitch a bit slippery.

haha I feel cold watching it too but that's probably because my house is freezing lol
Re: Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
Ref making some 50/50 calls here. But regardless Ulster listen to him, when he tells you to move or use it, for dear sake or you'll get pinged. Bit of common sense please.

You can put the heating on...it is December now. I'm sat right by my fire with the laptop keeping my legs warm Good kick from the Scarlets there.

Nah it's worse than that Cari, the heating is on lol

Re: Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
The Scarlets are playing well. When I looked at the team sheets I was expecting Ulster to dominate, but I underestimated this young Scarlets team.
If it is close at 60minutes I fear that the Ulster bench will win it for them though.

Scarlets unlucky from that drive, I thought Ulster brought it down.

That's a great scrum we have this year even when we don't start 3 Ireland internationals we can do damage, great to see that depth. Willy is right these calls by the ref are somewhat marginal

3rd offside call against Ulster now? Paddy Jackson hesitating before the kick

Everything is falling the Scarlets way.
I wouldn't say that any of the refs call have been wrong, Ulster are making silly errors.

Ouch, that's not good
And it wasn't even Tommy Bowe with the intercept
Try Trimble
3 - 10
Unlucky for the Scarlet's who have been the better team so far

Ha yeah wales, that was Tommy-esque wasn't it? That intercept must have been annoying when the Scarlets have had the majority of possession so far.
Looks like Ulster are going for the kick-and-chase option now. Look out if Gilroy gets his mitts on the ball...

3-13 after another Paddy penalty. Seven minutes to HT. Ulster could run away with this now...

No leadership on the field. Only Murphy looks like he wants it...

Well our most famous Politician rugby winger does like a wee intercept too.

Poor quality game. Quite happy with our organisation and composure so far, although we've slipped off a few tackles and made a few errors.

It's good there only appears to be 2 Marshalls on the pitch today not like 4 or 5 lol

Balls! I was in the kitchen...I heard the commentator say something about Tommy - is he on?!

Re: Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
Dan Tuohy and Tommy Bowe on now. Two planned substitutions.
Muller- good to see him get 40 minutes under his belt. What does the Gilroy sub say about his place in the pecking order?
Probably just resting and rotating himself and Tommy as they played in a big test match last week.

Notch - sounds like they're looking after Gilroy doesn't it? They can win this without him but the Heino will be a whole different kettle of fish next week...
Oh dear Thomas could've done with getting that. penalty goes wide. 3-16.

Re: Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
Yeah I imagine he wants to give them all a chance to prove why they should be picked next week notch and maybe he think's Trimble has shown himself enough to stay on so far. I think we will see Trimble next week away because his defence is much stronger.
Ah Cari there is only 4 of them when the BBC commentators have no clue who is actually playing for Ireland or what they look like. There is only 2 of them but Paul is so quick he fools pundits into thinking he is 3 people lol

Re: Scarlets v Ulster next Sunday
ooh Ulster 8 just warned for not rolling away. Twice that's happened now. Ulster don't want a binning!
Thomas kicks for the sticks and nails it.
6-16.

Neily - Well at least they can get away with saying Marshall this and Marshall that....could be on about any of them!
I think Scarlets' Aled Thomas looks a bit like Trimby...not as much as Liam Williams does though.
Scarlets on the attack now...and they get a scrum.

9-16 at 53 minutes after another Thomas penalty. Ulster need to watch their discipline...Scarlets could edge a lead at this rate.

We seem to be looking to Luke Marshall an awful lot to breaks he gainline. Nelson should have come in there though.
