Re: Where's HERSH
He's gone skiing, I saw his Range Rover at Heathrow, Private Plates gave it away H3RSH - He'll be watching the game on the weekend after a mornings skiing through the Alps, after that he's told me he's having some of that warm wine stuff and some sausage rolls and spam sandwitches and brown sauce before he settles down for the match. He's back next Thursday but has taken his laptop and might log in between now and then

Hersh and AWoP have both been banned for the good of the site - as mods we've simply had to spend too much time cleaning up after situations they've incited, and the general badtemperedness was snowballing across a lot of threads. Several other posters are on notice about their behaviour, while RogerLewis went for swearing at Biltong.
We generally don't like publishing mod actions, for a few reasons, mainly
1) We want to avoid encouraging a mob mentality of bullying anyone we do have to deal with - once someone's served a punishment they should be given a chance to learn and move on.
2) The job's hard enough without being publicly second guessed, especially as happened on the weekend when the worst second guessers were people with less than 100 posts between them. And generally most of those doing the second guessing aren't exactly the best behaved themselves.

Can we still use the word combinator. I must admit I'm rather fond of the term.

Pete - could we have a rating system on here for posters like they do on EBAY - You know 99.8% +ve feedback if you're a great poster like me and 42% if you post like Gibson - That way we'll know who the good ones are and if you fall below say 80 then you're out

Is that you Mr Orwell Golding ?
Or how about this movie:
"THE DISAPPEARED, 2008
Following the disappearance of his younger brother Tom, Matthew Ryan tries to put his life and sanity back together. However the past keeps coming back to haunt him. "

I think it was his way of saying partnerships, where it be the centre partnership or the backrow, front row etc.

Whilst i am shocked that HERSH has gone, the quality of thread and the tone of this site is soo much better than the previous one and thats due to all the hard work from the MOD's keeping it in order, so farewell HERSH your avid bath support will be missed and keep up the hard work kiwidevil and co.

Re: Where's HERSH
As glad as I am over this, I do believe it should've happened sooner. Hersh was exactly the same on V1 and should probably have been kicked off after that best centres article he did and AWOGG should've gone as soon as he dropped the me learn English good act.
Still, we got there in the end. If we could only ban all Scottish Exeter supporters and this site would be much more aggreable

Not having this – Hersh was the most amusing guy on this board, too many insecure types here. Bring back the 606v2 three! (well Hersh & Biltong any way; AWOP – meh).

Hersh was vocal (to put it mildly) and often funny, although he could get nasty and didnt know when to stop.
AWOP - like a broken clock could be right from time to time but always came across as nasty.

+1, he could quite easily end up getting on your nevers, and if he found a raw never he couldn't resist kicking it as hard as he could, but all in all he tended to have humour in his posts, or atleast you could see he was trying at humour. Sadly that is something a lot of people seem to ignored. I think that there are a heap of poster on here that are as one-eyed and one track minded as HERSH was but sadly without the jest that went with it.

Bluuudy 'eck,
Hersh gets the thumbs up from Welsh, Irish, and Glaws (me) supporters. Sounds like he will be missed by a range of 606ers

HERSH was ok. The trouble was that he had to stick his oar into every thread (as did some others that have now gone). It just got a bit much at times (it wasn't just HERSH of course!)
