What else should be banned?
First topic message reminder :
So long putters are to be banned on the contrived and jumped up charge that an anchored putt isn't a true 'golf stroke'.
What else needs to be banned from the game? (Mac, you aren't allowed to say the ball).

THe money in the game is down to a great many things, not just spongoloid American fans shouting GETINDAHOLE.
I completely agree and so does Shotrock (since that's what he said in his post)

Super - You obviously did deliberately miss my point, or you are making a point of not comprehending things. Try running a professional tournament without any fans -- either paying at the gate or viewing. Your runway will be mighty short.
The fan base that produces the greatest revenue opportunity for professional golf is the American fan base. Lots of Yahoos, but it's all part of what you get when you play here. The good and the bad. And, neither you nor any fan needs to watch any event in America -- don't they have off switches on your TV sets in Scotland? You're not the type that likes to bang his head against the wall, so it feels good when you stop, are you?

It is a good point about the effect a vibrant crowd can have on watching an event, even on TV. I find the funeral like atmosphere of a European tour event a real turn off. You can almost see the tumbleweed rolling past, especially in the desert swing.

And you it seems are missing the point of mine SR. The spongolic shouts associated with ghastly crowds which usually happen only in America are out of order.
Execution should be invoked for. mashedpotato, although I suppose the response of the European Ryder cup team to the cat calls was a suitable middle finger to them aznd soon shut their fat faces up.

A man from your field of work should know that a spongolite is a rock.

Well done Mac, I'm impressed. Google was it again? Did you know anything before Google came along?

Used to be a member at a time when, due to an outstanding greenkeeper, boasted greens imo superior to that of the big course. Honed my short game around this course.

Phew - for a minute I thought that all women everywhere were going to be banned. Only just stopped myself from hitting the in time.
