Should the FA cup 3rd round be seeded??

Top 20 premier league clubs...and the top 12 Championship teams vs the qualifiers....

That way it means pay days for the lower league strugglers and at least a 2/3 chance of a premiership team for any non league team who has gone through big obstacles to make it..

4th round can be an all out draw.....

no i dont think thats right, the fa cup is the one trophy in world football where the real minnows can get a chance at the big boys and sometimes to do this they have to beat fellow small teams through luck of a draw and or other bigger teams knocking each other out. theres no way under a seeding system that the likes of millwall or barnsley would have gotten as far as they have in recent years unde ra seeding system. the fa cup money isnt needed just for the really lower teams but right up to the championship. basically under your rule the real cash straped league one /two teams would all be facing each other while the non leagues get the prem sides, despite alot of the non league teams being in a better finanical postion than some of the football league clubs due to lower/no wages

That would be terribly boring. You'd lose the beauty of massive games so early on the competition. Platini would give you a job at UEFA with ideas like this one.

If a few of the big boys get paired up then we see some of the favourites eliminated early and its always nice to see some of the lower leagues get a couple of favourable ties and have a bit of a cup run.

No need to change the best cup competition in the world. In fact I'd be more for scrapping seedings in other competitions. Though with money involved and the organisers wanting the big clubs that will never happen again. Same with straight knockout comps instead of groups. Certainly more exciting though

Yes, we all love FA Cup upsets and giant killings but, we also love seeing the big guns knock eachother out in the 3rd and 4th rounds and we all love seeing a slug-fest between two minnows like Harrogate and Hastings.

Giants killings aren't the only thing that make the FA Cup magical and the best cup in the World.
