I would.
Would you run in fancy dress of our choosing if we sponsored you?
I want it to be Fancy Dress as a panto horse, Azzy as the front and Viva as the rear.
Something tells me Azzy spends more time at the rear when those guys are together.
But who is more of a horse's ar*e?
I was thinking that Viva normally has his head up Azzy's rear end as it is

You're right Azzy. For me, only Alba and Marcelo really stand out as truly world class LBs and it is no coincidence that they are at the two biggest teams on the planet

Cup results day, yay! Good luck Affers, I suspect you'll be through to the semi
I'd put Alba on his own, and Marcelo with Cole and Baines at the level below. Maybe one or two others, but no-one can touch Alba. Which is weird, because before 2012 he wasn't really on anyone's radar!

Voting would close at 2359 on Christmas Eve, which isn't very fair to those of us dressing up as Father Christmas that night.

We resume on w/c 7th January with fixtures.
The league remains open for business though. Last year there was an xmas 5 a side tourny and that can happen again if people want to run it.

We'll lose Soddy, me and my mates are going and we never see us win. Only game we went to this year as a threesome was Fulham and it was 5-0.
If I was going with my other mate just two of us we have never seen Norwich lose in 2 games. WBA last year and Spurs this year.
Soddy this draft we're doing is going slow so far

Seems like the suspension of Fellaini is the beginning of the end
Seems like the suspension of Fellaini is the beginning of the end
- Spoiler:
- In which we look into our crystal ball and track the amazing butterfly effect-like events that are caused by Marouane Fellaini headbutting Ryan Shawcross
Share on Facebook Share on Twitter
Marouane Fellaini has been suspended by the FA for three matches following his headbutting of Stoke City's Ryan Shawcross. What nobody ever realized, until now, is that this singular event was the catalyst for the one of the saddest stories in the history of English football.
The Everton Football Club is a famous and historically significant part of English football, whether you'd like to admit it or not. They may not have the multitude of titles or European successes that other clubs have had, but they are still a legitimate part of the footballing lexicon.
They're the only club to spend over 100 seasons in the top flight of English football (110 as of this season) and have only spent four seasons out of the top flight. Everton was one of the 12 founding members of the English league and have been in the Premier League every season since its creation. Basically, they are historically significant...and that's what makes this story so sad.
I've looked into the magical SB Nation Soccer crystal ball and seen the future, the horrific ramifications that will occur in the wake of Fellaini's headbutt and suspension. Here, presented in an easy to follow timeline form, is the sad and tragic fall of the Everton Football Club. The Fall of the House of Toffee, if you will.
December 17th, 2012: Marouane Fellaini suspended by the FA.
December 22nd, 2012: Everton struggle to a 0-0 draw at West Ham. Fellaini's absence along with fellow Belgian Kevin Mirallas prevent Everton from mounting any serious attack.
December 26th, 2012: Everton struggle to a 0-0 against Wigan. See previous match for reason.
December 20th, 2012: Chelsea hammers Everton 6-0. After the match, Rafa Benitez stripes nude and does a lap around Goodison Park make various rude gestures towards Everton supporters. Meanwhile, Roman Abromovich sits quietly out of sight admiring various promotional shots of Fellaini and practicing writing large cheques.
January 30st, 2013: Fellaini has an excellent month, leading Everton to four wins including a glorious defeat of West Brom on this day...it will be his last game for Everton.
January 31st, 2013: Chelsea signs Fellaini for £25m as Bill Kenwright goes on Sky Sports saying the deal was too good to turn down. Kenwright is later seen carrying a giant bag of rubles to a bank known to be holding Everton's debt. David Moyes is seen storming out of Goodison Park and driving away in the night. Kenwright announces later that night that some of the Fellaini money has been re-invested and the club is proud to announce the signing of Robbie Fowler.
February 7th, 2013: After a week of searching and planning, Everton supporters burn down Bill Kenwright's house and cover his car in feces.
May 19th, 2013: Everton are again destroyed by Chelsea 6-0 with Fellaini netting a hat trick. In celebration he shaves his trademark afro and then tells the media that he always hated the thing but was doing it to "make those Frak scousers happy".
May 20th, 2013: David Moyes leaves Everton, refusing to sign a new contract. He explains that the board selling Fellaini in January was the final straw and he felt betrayed after a decade plus of loyal service. Moyes is seen boarding a flight to the Caribbean, presumably to sit on a beach (under an umbrella, he's a ginger after all), sipping fruity beverages with little umbrellas in them until Sir Alex finally decides to retire.
May 21st, 2013: A group Everton supporters protest outside Goodison Park demanding that the board sells the club to proper owners. Another group of Everton fans get on social media and fight with Liverpool fans who taunt Everton supporters for stealing their tried and tested tactics. Yet another group of Everton fans blame Tim Howard and Landon Donovan and are mocked by Liverpool supporters for "blaming dem Yanks".
July 22nd, 2013: After two months of turmoil Bill Kenwright, who refused to sell the club, announces that the coaching search has finally come to an end. He calls a press conference for the next day in which the new manager will be unveiled.
July 23rd, 2013: Bill Kenwright introduces Rafa Benitez as the new Everton manager. Benitez again strips off his clothes at the presser and makes various rude gestures towards Everton supporters.
July 24th, 2013: The Everton ticket office is overwhelmed as every single season ticket is returned by angry fans over the appointment of the "Fat Spanish Waiter".
August 10th, 2013: Everton kicks off the 2013/14 season against Chelsea at Goodison Park. Fellaini nets another hat trick as the Blues win 8-0. The entire stadium is filled with Chelsea supporters as Everton fans refuse to attend the match. Rafa Benitez strips nude and runs around the stadium making rude gestures towards Chelsea fans.
May 24th, 2014: Everton lose to Liverpool on the final day of the season and are relegated to the Championship. Rafa Benitez is fired and the remaining core of Everton players are released from their contracts. Everton fans find Bill Kenwright's new home and burn it down.
June 6th, 2014: Everton announce the hiring of Duncan Ferguson as the club's new manager. Fans rejoice and re-buy their season tickets to support the beloved Big Dunc as he tries to return Everton to the Premier League.
June 7th, 2014: Ferguson head butts Bill Kenwright at the press conference announcing his hiring after he finds out the chairman has hired Steffen Freund as the team's technical director.
August 16th, 2014: Everton begins the Championship season having signed the likes of Emile Heskey, Jaime Carragher, David Bentley and Joey Barton in a desperate attempt to win promotion. In their first game against Leeds United, things get ugly as Duncan Ferguson substitutes Joey Barton out in the 66th minute and the two have a fist fight on the touchline.
December 13th, 2014: Everton climb into a playoff spot after an emotional 3-2 win over Blackpool. Heskey is the hero, bagging a hat trick including scoring the third goal in stoppage time. Jaime Carragher scores both of Blackpool's goals on mis-directed back passes.
March 14th, 2015: Everton's joy from December is in shambles after a stunning 4-0 defeat against Crystal Palace. Injuries to Carragher and Heskey in early February began the tailspin. Heskey was injured putting his Rascal scooter in the special trailer attached to his SUV. Carragher suffered severe burns while cooking a pot of scouse.
March 15th, 2015: In a desperate move to save the season, Everton fires Ferguson and hires Tim Cahill as a player/manager. It doesn't help, though Cahill does cheer up the Everton supporters by punching the corner flags after some of their rare late season wins.
May 2nd, 2015: Everton lose in spectacular fashion to Blackburn on the final match day of the season. In the 91st minute, Blackburn's Ryan Giggs scores on a set piece scramble to put the Rovers ahead 2-1. Everton appear to have a stunning equalizer in the 94th minute after the Rovers goalkeeper misplays the ball and can do nothing as it slowly rolls towards the goal. Suddenly, out of nowhere, a chicken wearing a Blackburn flag runs between the ball and the goal. The ball hits the chicken and stops. Referee Michael Jones never sees the chicken and blows the final whistle. The FA deny Everton's appeals and they finish in 22nd place on goal differential. Everton are relegated to League One, never to be heard from again.

Atalanta Falcons 1-1 Deportivo My Sharona AET - Atalanta Falcons win 4-3 penalties
(Hernanes) (Villa)
Votes: 2-1, 2-3, 1-2, 2-1, 2-1, 3-1, 1-2 = 13-11 = 1.86-1.57 = 1-1
A tough one to call, but home advantage gives it to the Falcons (Cup Runner Edit: No home advantages, but oh well.)
Two great teams, a great game as both teams have quakity in abundance but also weaknesses. Ultimately it came down to the forward four of Deportivo taking advantage of the Atalanta CB pairing, who were not set up to handle Villa and co.
A tight game to call as both tactics cancelled each other out. I thought Atalanta had the better of the midfielders and Hernanes in particular is a good acquisition. Sharona have the better defence and I like the CB pairing. If this was a league game, I’d have fence sitting splinters, but as it’s cup and there has to be a winner, I went for Sharona, just, as I felt they were a marginally stronger team.
Very tight game but having Fletcher man-mark Reus was a mistake as it left Coquelin on his own against the likes of Hernanes and Marchisio driving forward with the front four told not to defind. The Falcons defense looks weak though and Sharona did make chances but Falcons deserved to win
Falcons the more balanced side here they were able to distribute from the deep midfielders to the attackers a lot quicker and the two dictated the midfield. The front four of Deportivo were dangerous but didn't get the ball as much as they liked.
Both sides who clearly a viewing the cup as a proper competition which is good. I can see Sharona taking the lead as Villa gets the beating of the Falcons CBS. However Sharona setting Fletcher to mark Reus backfired with the German playing out wide. This just let El-Sharaawy and the other attacking Falcons players to dominate
gone for deportivo to just edge think it's a game of the midfields but if deportivo get through their more like to score with a weak falcons defence
Deportivo la Chorizo 2-1 Pass the Deutschie
(Isco, Tello) (Huntelaar)
Votes: 2-1, 1-0, 1-2, 2-0, 1-0, 1-0, 1-1 = 9-4 = 1.29-0.57 = 1-1
+1 goal to Deportivo la Chorizo for 3+ more win votes
Great game, both sides giving it their all, a tight game but one that Chorizo steal late on with their superior AM, Deutschie were solid and lined up well but I feel Vellios doesn't give Huntelaar the support he craves in a front two.
Two strong teams but today Mkhitaryan was the difference and his late goal sealed it
PTD set up brilliantly, as DLC set up exactly as expected. This allowed PTD to exploit the wings, with Sterling and Draxler on top of the game
A good display by Chorizo. Deutschie tried to exploit the flanks, but both Chorizo FBs stayed back. With Draxler and Sterling, neither of whom will be much help to their FBs, and one of Boateng and Gibbs attacking, Deutschie’s attacking tactic, proved their defensive downfall and they left themselves exposed to the pace and flair in the Chorizo attack
Chorizo had no attacking width as Callejon and Tello like to get inside and the full backs were told to tay back. Deutschie had a gameplan which worked to some extent but Chorizo scraped home due to the quality in their side
Viva has very good ideas to halt Chorizo but seems to lack the inspiration in attack to take advantage. It will be attritional but I think DLC get their noses ahead and then stay there. Like Iscp/Mkhitaryan taking turns in the hole (chortle chortle)
Close game hard to decide really Hunterlaar would dominate Mangala whilst Boateng would struggle with Tello so gone for the draw
No Respek 1-1 Under Brescia AET - Under Brescia win 5-4 on penalties
(Ba) (Tevez)
Votes: 2-2, 2-1, 0-1, 0-1, 1-2, 0-2, 1-0 = 6-9 = 1.17-1.29 = 1-1
Another great game, both sides very strong and going all out for the win. Too close to call, would go all the way to penalties in my opinion.
Spek dominated the midfield which stopped Brescia getting it to there front two
No Respek made themselves very difficult to break down and did very well, only thing I disagree with is trying to man-mark Tevez and Cassano. It just doesn't work. Afro also had a lot of joy attacking Wisdom and Pieters down the flanks and won it in extra time
I feel that Brecsia were able to play thier own game with a settled team and formation the players knew what to do. Respek had too much going on and it cost them going forward as they didn't make the chances. It was a tight game and it was the set piece that won it for Brescia
No Respek have alot of Respek for Afro's side and it leaves them a little defensive minded for me. They can stifle for a while, but Tevez and Cassano are classy up top. I see it close, but Brescia using their extra flair to win it
The new formation surprised Brescia to start with however I don't feel that Parker would work in a forward role, he would have been better set to preventing Verratti from playing as he was left alone. 4-4-2 really worked for Brescia in the end as they ended up causing No Respek to be chasing the ball
No respek just edge it for me can see them getting at the back 4 easier with the extra man in the midfield squeezing them enough to create chances at will
Bratwurst Mannschaft 1-2 Moleicester City
(Gaitan) (Michu, Di Natale)
Votes: 3-2, 3-2, 0-1, 1-2, 0-2, 2-0, 1-3 = 10-12 = 1.43-1.71 = 1-2
Superb tie, both sides set up really well but the two DM's of Mannschaft are able to keep control and while both sides create chances, Moleicester are the ones who leave themselves open with some very attacking players in CM. Mannschaft steal the win on the break with Gaitan and Shaqiri on top form.
more quality in key areas around the pitch saw them power to a 3 -1 lead at half time, Moleicetser got a lte consolation
A very close game, Mannschaft expected Montolivo and Cazorla to play and as such Moleicester had the upper hand in midfield. The key to the tight win was Yanga Mbiwa, who made sure the two strikers did not get through. Sadly the tactics dictated to the Bratwurst wingers were not up to scratch, as Balzaretti and Srna were on top of them from the get go.
I thought a good tactical performance from Nando again this week and he continues to impress with this side of the game. He expected what Bratwurst would throw at them, and countered it well.
Fernando is inconsistent can be brilliant at times and woeful today it was the latter and had his tactics spot on. The FB of City had the Bratwurst wingers struggling to get the delivery in for strikers, with the lack of attacking threat through the centre they didn't make much chances from there. City lively from the wings and centre were always a threat
BM dominate the middle and the wide players can provide deadly supply to the front two
A routine victory for Mole City in the end with Fernandinho being the key addition. Standard 4-4-2 from Bratwurst struggled against the dynamic 4-1-2-2-1 from Mole. Cazorla not playing was a stroke of genius as well. Kiesling is always a danger and he scores a cracker but in the end the set up from Mole City is just too much
Semi finalists:
Atalanta Falcons (ITA)
Deportivo la Chorizo (SPA)
Moleicester City (ENG)
Under Brescia (ITA)

Votes: 3-2, 3-2, 0-1, 1-2, 0-2, 2-0, 1-3 = 10-12 = 1.43-1.71 = 1-2
Superb tie, both sides set up really well but the two DM's of Mannschaft are able to keep control and while both sides create chances, Moleicester are the ones who leave themselves open with some very attacking players in CM. Mannschaft steal the win on the break with Gaitan and Shaqiri on top form.
