The Azzrentice Final
First topic message reminder :
Hello everyone. We're finally here - the Azzrentice Season One Final. Congratulations to Gregers, Soddy and Marky for getting this far, and thank you to all of you who have competed in the competition so far. It's been fun, yet tough. And there can be only one winner.
TEAMS:
The task:
I want you to present to me a vision. A vision of what football really means to you. And to do that, I'm giving you £125m to spend.
With that £125m, I want you to buy a team of 18 footballers, using their TM values as of 24 January 2012 (prepare now but check the values don't go up when you submit). For this 18-man squad, I want you to provide a starting XI, and a briefing on how you want them to play. Not tactics as such, but I want you to inspire the players with a vision for how you want them to play the game.
Now, to help you, I am going to offer you the chance to purchase a manager. You can have another £25m for this - anything you don't spend can be put towards your squad purchases. The manager will be the person who will carry out your vision, who will put it into practice and get the players playing the way you want them to. Not to say that you're choosing the manager's vision of course, but if your vision is of lumping it to Andy Carroll, don't choose Wenger! Manager prices are as follows:
Pep Guardiola - £25m
Jose Mourinho - £25m
Sir Alex Ferguson - £25m
Roberto Mancini - £20m
Arsene Wenger - £20m
Guus Hiddink - £17.5m
Tito Vilanova - £17.5m
Jupp Heynckes - £16.5m
Andre Villas-Boas - £15m
Jürgen Klopp - £15m
Massimiliano Allegri - £15m
Marcelo Bielsa - £13.5m
David Moyes - £13.5m
Diego Simeone - £12.5m
Brendan Rogers - £12.5m
Antonio Conte - £12.5m
Manuel Pellegrini - £10m
Rafael Benítez - £10m
Michael Laudrup - £8m
Chris Hughton - £5m
I will be judging this task on three aspects:
1. The starting XI, including chemistry between players (ie, they have to complement your vision)
2. The substitutes, so you don't buy any old toot to make your first team look better
3. Your vision, including whether your manager is capable of carrying it off
The team with the best XI, subs and vision will win - the prize is still to be determined. Good luck one and all!
DEADLINE IS 2359 ON THURSDAY 24 JANUARY - FRIDAY 25 JANUARY WILL BE AZZRENTICE LIVE

Right, i'm off to get a Subway. If i'm not back in time, please interrogate Gregers first, i'll be munching on a Cheese and Herb bread, Italian BMT (Pepperoni, Salami, Ham) with cheese and BBQ sauce. Toasted, of course.

I hear you.
So, Marky...
I'll start with Gregers of course. Gregers, tell me why you deserve to win the Azzrentice. What has made you the obvious winner?

Re: The Azzrentice Final
Why should I win the azzrentice?
I believe that I have regularly thought outside the box and pushed what was wanted in each task. From writing a (if I do say myself) hilarious piece for Cahill in the first task to implementing my vision of football through the eyes of the little kid inside all if us I have loved each task.
(sorry for the short answer)

Of course you've loved the tasks, I thought of them...
Marky I'll await your response.
Both of you can tell me which was your best moment of this year's Azzrentice please.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
I deserve to win the Azzrentice because over the course of the show I have proven to be a loyal team player, and a helpful one at that. Especially throughout the second half of the Azzrentice, I was regularly on the winning team and that is no coincidence.
What has made me the obvious winner is my consistency, my ability and the fact I have shown I can be a leader when directing my teammates in this final task.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
The best moment for me in this Azzrentice was the final task, because it was the first time I got to show my leadership qualities as well as dictate everything that needed to be done. Although teaming with Sodhat when it was 2 of us against 4 on the other team and winning will be my highlight if I don't win this.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
Right lads. I'm back. And I've made my decision.
Marky and Gregers, you've both been outstanding in the Azzrentice. Consistently good, amusing, knowledgeable...it's a tough choice.
On this task, Gregers would win. His XI is much better in my view, and I preferred his vision also. Marky had a great bench, but perhaps that detracted from his XI too much (it was a fine line to tread).
But I'm not awarding the Azzrentice title and cash prize of £TBC for this task solely. It's about the process, and how you've performed over the course of the competition. With that in mind, I've made my decision.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
Marky - you are the winner of the first Azzrentice
Gregers, unlucky, you had a great final but ultimately Week 3 let you down, I gave Marky at least 7/10 in every week and you only got a 6/10 that week. Out of 50, Marky scored 39 and you scored 37. So close.
Well done to everyone involved, and now we need Afro to decide what the cash prize should be.

P.S actually well done to Marky, who is a deserving winner. I enjoyed the task we worked on together in week 4 the most of all the tasks I've done on this thing.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
Marky was the winner despite not being the winner of the final task. It was his consistent performance throughout that won him the prize - the Week 4 task got him a 9/10.

Re: The Azzrentice Final
Well done Marky. A thorughly deserving winner
Prizes should be the same as last time which was £5m to the winner and £2m to the runner-up.
Viva and Marky get to add £5m, Gregers £2m

Doesn't the fact you have helped 3 finalists win suggest that you've failed 3 times to make the final yourself?

Problem is Viva, you have been fired more than anyone else as well.
I give you some credit for your part in the last two winners of the Apprentice, but you're surely not claiming any glory in this. Nando yes, Marky definately, You I can't see where you helped.

We are a team we win us a team and lose a team there was no I unlike your team. Unlucky guys just congratulate marky on his great performance. Next time you won't be making the mistake of picking me last

Re: The Azzrentice Final
We accept that we are not succesful Apprentice members. We are just not good enough to be the Apprentice winner, accepted. We also don't try to take someone elses glory.
If I was on marky's team, I'd be congratulating him alone and not trying to big myself up on his success.

This is why it's making me laugh Viva taking credit despite us actually losing....
You won overall without his help

Re: The Azzrentice Final
What really helped Marky over the edge was the semi with Soddy. They pulled through together on that one, and ultimately Gregers had one poor week that let him down.

All credit to Marky, but ironic and amusing that Viva is dissing the one person who can legitimately claim to have actually helped Marky to the win
