Charlie Zelenoff

Has anybody seen/heard of this guy?
Mentally ill American with a 0-1 record (he's not very good at the old boxing game to be honest) who had a sparring session with the Floyd Mayweather Sr of today, got hit too hard and climbed out of the ring, only to return while Floyds back was turned and take a swing at him. I was speechless after watching various videos of him.

Haha I remember him from Eastside Boxing, use to spew some garbage saying he would beat Hopkins etc. Then he was DQ'd against a guy who was 1(0) - 14(14)

The guy has some genuine mental issues rather than just talking nonsense. He actually thinks he is fighting for real titles in the future, bit of a sad story really.

The guy is an internet legend... for the wrong reasons it seems.

He's believes he's a "UBF Champion"? - If he had created a character then it may be funny, but this guy is for real (in terms of mental instability) from what I've read...

Yep he's a first rate nut from what I can gather, needs some help before he gets himself or someone else hurt bad. You can't just go round sucker punching people like he does without some ramifications.

I've heard a few people say that it's all an act. I'm a lot more comfortable with that idea than the reality that he may well be an absolute nutter. Here he is calling out Wladimir Klitschko no less:

Apparently the "UBF" world championship doesn't care too much about weight divisions! At least old Charlie Z was good enough to agree to a 80-20 split of the purse. He clearly punches hard enough to crack open a bank vault, so he'll no doubt get his revenge for all that "sh!t" that Wlad has been talking about him.

It's utterly hilarious stuff, if it wasn't for the potentially tragic undertones.

Just tried to reverse-linear his UBF title, but it doesn't really work.

Using forward / backward reverse linear theory I did get to Guillermo Rigondeaux in four steps though, which was nice.

I gather Hennessey is currently in talks with him to fight Fury and is already being billed as "yet another top American"

Maloney has him pencilled in to fight Price in 2028, as soon as he turn 40.

He would have had a shot at Cleverly too, but he doesn't have a full-time job (like nursing) to qualify him to fight our local Math genius.

Zelenoff lost his only pro fight to Andrew Hartley.

Hartley's previous fight was a defeat to Blaine Burks.

Burks has a brace of defeats to Juan Noriega.

Noriega's last fight was also the debut of Guillermo Rigondeaux.

Used to follow this guy on Youtube.

After his one defeat he switched to MMA, had no fights, but still ranked himself the top MMA fighter around.

The guys a lovable loon.
