Re: REF CAM
We'll see how it goes. If it's for Referee development then fine. If it's going to be shown to 'us' (and Richards' quote seems to suggest it will) then I can just see it being another stick to beat the ref with ("the camera shows that the ref MUST have seen it")

Different link with example of what the camera see.
Would be better if attached to Refs head as we know you twist your head to look but not your chest,so facing a different direction to where the Ref is lookng so might seem as if he saw something but was looking in another direction

Re: REF CAM
As a training tool it seems like a good idea (like BB said attatched to the head would be better), if fitted to a top class ref, then up and comming refs will be able to pick up tips on how that ref manages to keep an eye on the pitch at all times, and also how he delegates things to the linesmen etc, or how he takes over on things if he thinks the linesman is not pulling his weight on offsides etc.
To be honest as a one off thing I have no issues with it, but if it is something that they are even possibly considering thinking about maybe using fulltime one day I would be dead against it as we are slowly moving towards being a start stop NFL style game where technology is going to be used for every bleeding decision. In the end of the day if you have this sort of tech on a man on the pitch then you could just put out a fit bloke who can run up and down for 80mins in the middle of the pitch and have a retired ref (who is uable to do the running anymore) directing him through an ear peice on where to look and when to blow his whistle etc.
