First topic message reminder :

Really excited for this coming out and a hope its gonna be as brilliant as the telly show but the question is will it be? Is it just going to be a big flaw like other films have been in the past or is going to be a fitting end for the Inbetweeners cast, thoughts?

Watched this last night on channel 4.

It was really quite good which surprised me. Although those girls they kept meeting would have told them where to go after the first 20 minutes in real life!

The team behind The Inbetweeners Movie may be planning a sequel, a report has suggested.

Following the success of the first movie - a spinoff from the original E4 sitcom - studio bosses have asked for a follow-up set at a wedding four years after the first film, The Mirror claims.

A production insider told the paper: "Initially we said the characters and themes had reached a natural conclusion. But the success has been too big to ignore and it makes perfect sense to give the fans what they want.

"It would be much more viable than making an extra series because the characters have moved on, so that's what we're doing."

The Inbetweeners Movie recorded the biggest live-action comedy opening ever in the UK earlier this month with takings of £20 million.

The source claimed that Will (Simon Bird), Simon (Joe Thomas) and Jay (James Buckley) will reunite to celebrate with Neil (Blake Harrison) as he gets married, adding: "The characters have all gone off and done different things but agree to hook up for his stag party and wedding."

It better be better than the last one.

Last one was shocking, i thought it was class, then i went on a lads Holliday, then i relished how bad the movie was!

Ok instead of going into detail, ill keep it simple.

The first movie was rubbish.

The series was brilliant.

Inbetweeners works perfectly for a 20-30 minute slot.

Stretched over 2 hours? Not so much.

The film was alright, but its nothing compared to the sitcom.

But it'll make money whatever, so makes sense to do a second film

Sounds like they'll be doing a British version of "The Hangover"

This sums it up for me. Reminds me of why i'm not keen on the Simpsons movie either.

A tv comedy series should never be made into a movie.

Sort of agree really. Even Rik and Ade couldn't do it with Guest House Paradiso.

Monty Python managed it, but I suppose you can't really count them as they didn't use their established characters in the films and went for something fresh.
