Films You Can Watch Over and Over, Again and Again.
Maybe it's just this time of year when the networks put on the same Golden Oldies or classic violent movies for the umpteenth time... but what are the films or DVDs you can effortlessly watch over and over without getting tired or bored of? What are your perennial favourites?
Just watching "Above The Law" again. That scene where "Nico" (Steven Segal) walks into the bar full of obnoxious, racist jerks and rednecks asking an innocent question "have you seen this girl?" flashing a photo of her... you know the one.
I nearly choked with laughter when he throws the big bearded guy on what looks like some empty Jim Beam boxes and whips the gun off the other guy in a blink of an eye... then finds the young girl cowering in a back room with some seedy junkie and he rubs his face in the mirror of coke.
I also watched about 4/5 of the "The 10 Commandments" the other day. Gotta love the sophisticated 1950's CGI in that one.
Not to mention a few classic Bond movies in the last few days. I hardly ever tire of them either.
Fire away chaps...

The Life of Brian - have watched it (without exaggerating) over 100 times - I still occasionally pick up on things I haven't noticed before but that might be because I'm a bit slow-witted.

Like the jet plane flying in the background in one scene and a wristwatch on one of the Romans?

For me it's Ghostbusters. Never gets old, great cast, some great gags and a cheesy soundtrack

Might have been a vapour trail only not a jet?
Also keep an eye out for the shadow of a cameraman in one of the scenes.

I remember the camera's shadow when they're chasing after him through the market after the Simon & Adrian speech.

Happy New Year from OZ everyone!
Can't believe it's 2013!

Happy new year Lb. With a bit of luck I'll be in an alcohol-induced coma by the time it hits these parts.

I've watched Braveheart over 1,000 times in my life. And I am NOT kidding, that film got me through college and Uni studying medieval history.

I could watch Die Hard With A Vengeance over and over again as well as Godzilla for some reason. Just find it thoroughly enjoyable and watchable!

Airplane for sure stands up to re-watching any time you want a good laugh.
The other type of film I can re-watch multiple times are 'brain-off' action / entertainment films:
Die Hard
Top Gun
Days of Thunder (surely should count as a Top Gun remake?)
some Bond films (most of Connery and Brosnan, Casino Royale)
Under Siege
Oh, and anything featuring Eva Green

I feel ashamed to admit it but some of those Fletch movies.
That constant daggy synthesizer music (Herbie Hancock?) sort of has an affect on me for some reason and makes me want to laugh.
I can easily watch Marx Bros. films - they really flow well.
Once Upon A Time In the West and countless other westerns /spaghetti westerns.
Jaws, Earthquake, Towering Inferno, Poseidon Adventure

the Matrix - possibly my favourite film, just love it, happy to watch it anytime.
Die Hard - come on, Alan Rickman being a German terrorist, what more can the world want?
Shaun of the Dead - just never gets old.

I must have seen enter the dragon at least 20 times back in the days of video tapes. I could watch shawshank redemption anytime, same with the matrix and the original star wars and lord of the rings.
