What do people think of Joe Cole + Chamakh to West Ham? I think both are low-risk, high-reward moves for the Hammers.

Given Big Sam's record with 30+ year old's, I think Cole could prove to be a revelation. Think of Campo, Okocha and Djorkaeff at Bolton.

I always think Chamakh is a confidence player who needs to be picked regularly. Arsenal's rotation / being second fiddle doesn't work for him and you never see his best. Play him regularly and I think he will get a decent goal return for WHU, a bit like when he first joined Arsenal

Joe Cole is past it. Don't see where he fits in at West Ham. He wants to play the Nolan role, but will probs be stuck out on the wing.

Chamakh I can see working

Louis Theroux I'd had before (not literally!) but Joe Pasquele is a new one.
My dulcit tones can be heard on the v2 wrestling podcast if any Hero fans want to match the image to the voice!

West Ham's biggest weakness is that they carry Nolan for most of the game, just to get his goal threat. He offers little else.

I think the biggest problem will be that Sam will drop Nolan deeper to fit Cole in behind the striker, and drop Noble, when really he should drop Nolan.

Plus Joe Cole is 31 and played over 40 games for the Lille last season.

Anyone who saw him last year will tell you he isn't past it.

You are doing Nolan a bit of a disservice there Afro! He will put himself about and he does get the knockdowns from Carroll/Cole and spread it wide or recycle it to the Noble's of the world who are better players than him

Not according to most West Ham fans I have heard from, including Sod.
