On lions, from Wikipedia:

In Africa, lions can be found in savanna grasslands with scattered Acacia trees which serve as shade; their habitat in India is a mixture of dry savanna forest and very dry deciduous scrub forest.

That's as close to jungle as you're going to get.

And technically, a small population of Lions do live in the jungle in Gir, (it meets the criteria of a jungle, but is called the Gir Forest
