I'd forgotten about Richards being a Bond girl. To be honest, its very rare for me to think about anything other than her in that scene in Wild Things to the extent that I'm probably unsure of my own name at this precise moment.

Maryam D'Abo did a documentary on the Bond girl phenomenon and interviewed many of those in the exclusive club; I think it was updated to include Casino Royale and included on the DVD. Found it really interesting.

I've sort-of met Dame Diana Rigg - in a theatre bar after the show. I am slightly ashamed to admit that I didn't know who she was at the time (I was working in that bar/restaurant part-time whilst at university). There's a great story from the same place that slightly pre-dates my stint there. Jason Connery was the lead in a production held at the theatre. His father Sean went to the restaurant for a meal after the show, and paid by cheque. The manager kept it / had it framed. It was rumoured that he did this quite a lot, knowing that cheques he'd signed would be unlikely to be cashed!

As for a slightly different entry, Stana Katic briefly featured in Quantum of Solace. I mention her just because I have been very impressed with her work on TV series Castle since then.

Yes it was not long after I saw it that I spoke briefly to her about it - entirely her idea and project, she wasn't just the 'presenter' so to speak.
It was at one of those conventions at the NEC Birmingham. Odd events, only been to one - people queuing up to pay £10 to get an autograph - not for me thanks! Britt Ekland was there as well, looking old and rather plastic surgery-ish. Didn't speak to her - didn't know what to say - "Blimey, you look terrible! What happened?"

At the risk of sounding gay (and I'm like totally not gay!) I've never remembered any Bond film for the 'Bond girls.' Famke Janssen springs to mind though depsite probably not being a bond girl? The women is a babe. Reminds me of a dutch bird at Uni now that I think about it.
