I was only kidding, i am sure they are no where near as good as V2.

It seems like they only do Football on that site.

Yeah thats about it. They do advertise the other sports.

They have nearly double our members but half our posts.

To be honest I think v2 is lucky the majority of footy fans have migrated elsewhere. I stopped posting on the 606 footy boards because you could barely have a sensible debate, it was all wums, abuse, my dads bigger than your dad etc. If it had all come across it would have been a nightmare trying to enforce the boundaries of respect that make this board a good place to debate.

Fair point, on here mostly whilst at work

I understand the rules about the avatars but I kinda miss them. Of course it would make more work for us admins and mods to pre-vet them but I wonder how many of them really make a site unsafe-for-work

Hopefully more will come when 606 eventually closes.

You have completely missed the point.

Its not an issue with the avatar image itself (as in is it a dubious picture) but more to do with the fact that its an image that can be easily spotted by work colleagues.

Text only is more conspicuous.

Would be nice to have a slightly active football forum, especially as all the fans of my team split up trying to find a suitable replacement but couldn't and most have ended up on one of the seemingly most anti the club we all support boards ever.

Still congratulations 606v2, you've made an annoyingly good site which has been very successful at taking me away from my revision.

As of today:

210 members have made 50 or more posts
432 members have made 10 or more posts
948 members have made 1 or more posts.

It would be interesting to see how that stands in a month's time.

thats still a large cor(r)e of contributing members which is good to see though, for a site that is less than 6 months old that is very impressive imo.

The problem you have with football is that alot of teams, near all have their own forums for people to use, other sports dont often have this.
