Just thought it might be good to have a alternate thread to "That Really Grinds My Gears Thread "

So rather then what winds you up about life or things that are going on in life , what makes you smile what bit of news made you feel good ?

This probably wont get as many posts though as we are a bunch of moaners really Very Happy

I had to smile today with a large amount of pride when my niece told me she was going over to Australia in the next few days with her boyfriend to help out with the Bush Fire clear up .

It has a certain hypnotic ability. My bird has a big rack and when we were first courting I couldn't help but look, thankfully she doesn't mind a man with no manners...

Your own team winning, especially away from home, doesn't happen all too often for me.

Similar to LJ's comment, coming in from work to my 10 month old daughter smiling and saying 'Daddy' as clear as day

Then again, she says Daddy for the dog (called 'Daisy', so we think she's trying) and for Mummy (winds the wife up no end Very Happy )

As above a big 3 toothed grin from my 10 month daughter or a mad hug and a snuggle for my 3 year old girl.
Im also a sucker for a picture or video clip of a cute animal, a kitten, a puppy or a panda cub usually does it, sad I know.

My girl's up to 6 teeth now. We do though call her Dracula because while at the bottom it's the central teeth that came through first, for her upper jaw the two canines have come through first, so she has fangs - that makes me smile too

Kids in general are just hilarious - but as above, usually just your own. My youngest (5) said "OMG" the other day! I can't really stand people coming out with this new-fangled language but when he said it I couldn't help but laugh.

People who can laugh at themselves and we, as a country, are great at that. Guess that's why we are Great Britain.
