Sporting inevitables
Baggy has just played his first round match and, as usual, it didn't disappoint. Two tiebreaks and five sets under his belt already is there anybody out there who actually didn't see that result coming?
The question is what other inevitable results are in the offing? Serena to win without dropping a set might be worth a bob or two

Each of the top 3 women winning one match during the first week for a baked goods scoreline (MaSha has already had a double bagel in R1, and it's pretty certain that Azarenka and Serena will have victories involving bagels and breadsticks in the first two or three rounds).

dh whitewashes for Sharapova and Serena whilst Venus let the side down by dropping a game.
More suprisingly 40 something Date Krumm beat seeded Petrova in straight sets for the loss of only two games and (apart from Mr. Krumm) bet few saw that one coming. Makes her the oldest winner of a women's singles match in the history of the Australian Open.
