Biggar's in great form at the moment. I'd expect to see Hookie on the bench, covering centre as well.

Has to be Biggar - None of us have seen Hook play there for years
Patchell looks the real deal to me so these guys had better take their chances

Biggar.
It is time for Wales to blood someone new. I have never been a big fan of Hook, to me he is the utility player of the Welsh side. From what I have seen from Biggar he is more explosive on attack and more creative, Wales needs to move away from a Priestland, Hook etc.
Give the guy a chance. How many chances has Preistland had?

Wouldn't go that far. Best by a mile in the English league though.

After watching Jones against Bath that guy is still good enough to do a job at international level.

Voted for Biggar. I would have preferred to have seen Stephen Jones as the bench option.

I agree. Stephen Jones is the best Welsh no 10 in the English league.

Re: who should start at 10 for Wales?
I suspect Biggar will start with Hook on the bench to come on if Biggar has a bad day also Hook will cover centre when Roberts cracks his head again. At least we have flyhalves that can kick at goal, tactical kicking and hit touch if needed. I never had any confidence in Preistland, he would do something good and then make two mistakes he got away with it during the last 6N (e.g., England game and France) but was found out in Aust and the AI's.

I would have to say Biggar. Forget Stephen Jones, it is time for Wales to move forward with the younger 10 now.

has to be biggar. forget the near misses at the weekend, thats a blip in an outstanding effort from the guy over two seasons to prove what he can do -
bet howley has messed with his game, as he does with them all, lets see if he can ruin this 10.

The Welsh management have banged on about players staying in Wales etc and Biggar is in form.
If he doesn't get the nod then I think its a real slap in the chops for him

I think Howley will pick Biggar. He has done enough to earn the chance... a run of games and he may prove his worth to Wales. He has been in great form at the Ospreys for eighteen months.
I really didnt used to like him under Johnson and Holley, far to petulant, not enough of a team player. But he has turned that around well working with Rees and Tandy

What about BBC Commentator Jonathan Davies as the Wales number 10.

You have said the same a few times on different threads. Are you making a joke? I'm afraid I don't get it.
Jonathon Davies retired in the late 90's. He was once a superb flyhalf.

Re: who should start at 10 for Wales?
Biggar kept Hook out of the Ospreys fly-half berth, which contributed to Hook moving to France and we have a policy of selecting players based in Wales, and also players who are on form (and I believe Biggar is). In my mind, to prove that we're consistent and believe in our values, I think we have to select Biggar.

If Hook is a better player you would select him, no matter the values.
Hook won't move back to Wales while under contract in France.

Hook is in form too - Perpignan have now moved up to 7th in the French league with a handy win over Clermont. Either one of these guys can do the job. In fact, our back division looks as good as it as ever been. The issue is going to be what happens up front.

Hook was superb in handing Clermont Auvergne a loss. Really looking one of the form tens in Europe at the moment.

Re: who should start at 10 for Wales?
Sure, Hook may have looked good running, passing and kicking in some mickey mouse Frenchy game, but Biggar was 'really running the backline' for Ospreys in the narrow loss to Treviso.
'Controlled the game', showed some 'lovely touches' with very 'soft hands' and even had a 'bit of dog about him'.
These are the things we like in Wales. I could play well against Clermont, they've probably been rubbish since Stephen Jones left.

What a bizarre post...?
Clermont Auvergne are probably the best team in Europe at the moment.
