Can anybody tell me the difference between that performance than the problems with Dalglish's reign?
Lots of possession and attempts on goal with no reward because of a lot of saves by opposition goalkeeper, a missed penalty and end up losing the game. That is an awful loss against a team that we should be bearing considering the relative expenditure on players and form.

Whilst I can understand people's gripes with Suarez I think that the highlighted is an over the top reaction and rather provocative statement Duty.
Disappointed.
In my view, the club as a whole supports a diving, cheating, racist which is pretty scummy in my view. Handball to beat Mansfield wasn't it? Punch off the goalline to rob Ghana in the World Cup? Football needs people like Suarez to do one, rather than be supported by one of England's famous clubs.

I think Borini has to be looked at. He's done nothing this season and yes, he was injured for 3/4 months, but he was doing nothing before that and isn't the prolific goalscorer they need. I reckon Liverpool will pick up Benteke should Villa go down and failing him, Gary Hooper.

Funny how you're nowhere near your high horse where England are concerned isn't it? Remember Captain Marvel John Terry?

Let's see here, John Terry. Racist? Not according to a court of law. Extra-marital affairs? Immoral, but what he does off the pitch is little of my concern. Am I missing something?

Luis Suarez is as much of a racist in the eyes of the court of law as John Terry I should remind you, they were both found guilty by the FA, Suarez only receiving more games because of allegedly using the insult more than once. Please be consistent Duty.

I don't believe Suarez was ever tried in a court of law was he? That in itself isn't consistent.

Nobody bothered to report to a court of law because it was painfully obvious that the case would be thrown out due to a lack of evidence. No footage of said incident and the only witness was Evra.

Do Arsenal play in the CL next week or something? Hoping for a Valencia win tonight as they aren't as evil as the other 3 clubs playing tonight.

Cheers guys. So does that mean the return legs of this week's matches are in two weeks? I'm trying to work out when the 2nd leg of the Copa del Rey is (the El Clasico). Of course, I could have already missed it

Consecutive weeks this happened to me: I put on an accumulator but for some reason it only puts on one team. Still, the one team won so it wasn't too bad.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 3
brainless management by Wenger. Let's rest our key players for the F.A Cup game in preparation for the Champions League. Arsenal are never going to win the champions league, if anything it's the third priority left this season, I know that and the fans know that.
Priority
1. Top 4
2. F.A Cup ( easiest of the trophies left to win)
3. Champions League. Bayern are a superior team in nearly every department, likelihood is a defeat over two legs. Now Arsenal, if they lose to Blackburn have nothing left other than the league.

They need to punt Wenger. I know he's achieved a lot, but to live off past glory for nearly a decade is disgraceful. He's promised so much for these once 'young players' and they now have become a club that cannot attract the same calibre as their apparent 'equals.' Should do the honourable thing and walk. Now.

Re: 2012/13 Premier League discussion thread part 3
Where would he walk to?
He's wasted his peak management years on a hope and a prayer of bringing through a set of young players to dominate - not seeing the raft of foreign owners on the horizon set on assembling super squads. Even though it happened before his eyes with abramovich and Chelsea.
Pity as he is a superb coach but think his time in football is drawing to a close nevermind arsenal, very few managers go on until they are 70 and he's 64 this year.

Wenger want's to prove everyone wrong by building a squad through youth and "hidden gem" signings. He want's to stand on top of the mountain and say he told us so.
It's never going to happen though is it?

No, it will never work.
You need experience and know how to navigate a season, how can this be accomplished with a rake of players the same age and experience who've never won anything?

That's the thing. I admire what he's trying to do, but in this money driven form of modern football, it simply isn't going to work. Either he spends to compete, or he has to go. No middle ground.
Most decorated player? Probably Cazorla, and when you look at what he's done domestically it tells you all you need to know!

There just isn't a winning ethic in the club anymore.
You see at Utd they don't have to play well, but they just win. It's ingrained in the players. Not at Arsenal it isn't

Good point about Cazorla, I never thought of him but he's won stuff with Spain. I'll have a look as when you look Man Utd and Chelsea they have players who have won trophies in the past and have that experience, yet that's where Arsenal are lacking (not to mention a few of their players are rank rotten).

I think it's Vermaelen who won a few things with Arsenal but the only other ones (I can see) are Mertesacker, Podolski, Cazorla, Giroud and Gervinho.
