Best finisher In ODI?????

I am a bit confused about whom to chose as the best finisher in the Odi. Dhoni or Bevan. If we look at the batting records Dhoni is ahead of Bevan. But People think Dhoni's bit selfish? But I don't think so. What you think?

Dhoni by some distance. In many ways they are different types of finishers - in Bevan's day it was a case of getting ahead of the rate, and then calmly knocking the ball around and ensuring sufficient wickets are kept in hand to get the team home; in the modern era its about timing the run chase to perfection, recognising the potential for scoring huge amounts of runs in the last 15.

ya thats true. Cricket has changed a lot.

Bevan was also accused of selfishness on occasion back in the day, so those accusations are probably a bit swings and roundabouts

Dhoni for me, by a small margin.

Not sure but both would be in my all time ODI XI.

Seriously, I would say Dhoni. Bevan was playing in a much stronger team to be fair. Dhoni always seems to deliver and is often under pressure.

I too have a bit of same words. Bevan had greats to come before him. But Dhoni mostly step into the field when team has left every thing on him only.

Its incredible to me the amout of times Dhoni turns what seems to be an average score into a match-winning one. Bevan was more of a run chase specialist, Dhoni in my view is better at the harder job of setting a total.

Keiswetter is better at finishing an innings, its generally over within a few minutes of him stepping on the field.

It has to be Mahendra Singh Dhoni. Bevan was very good particularly in chases, but Dhoni sets up totals, and is so very good and so very cool in chases. He really does bring a sense of calm when he bats in ODIs. And oh, besides being the finisher, he captains the team and keeps wickets.

Up until 2 or so years ago, Eoin Morgan was apparently up there as the best finisher in ODI cricket.
