Amblin Glamour quarters?
Given the sides in the Amblin quarter finals, seven of whom have either been HC winners or finalists, should it not be time to raise the profile and importance?
Admittedly only one of the sides is an R12 side which creates a little lopsided-ness, but it is the most successful R12 side and perhaps that will change in the coming seasons with a wider participation.
Despite being a Bath man and undecided on HC competitors being given further European competition but Toulouse, Leinster final anyone?

In the RDS. All the tickets would get sold anyhow.

I don't know about you Recwatcher, but I am a little peeved that as a reward for being the top 2 seeds we're given an away semi final fixture. Similarly Quins get the same treatment in the HC.
I'm also a little peeved that i'll have to make 2 trips to Dublin in short succession

That happened to the Scarlets in 2007, when we used to be competitive...

Re: Amblin Glamour quarters?
There are some big teams in the Amlin, a few years ago that could have been a H-cup quarters lineup.
I agree HKC, Bath finished as top seeds, yet if they win their quarter, the reward will be an away visit to deepest darkest France!

The Amlin cup is clearly where it’s at this year, 10 HCs between all combatants (opposed to only 5 among the lot of the HC teams – pffft!).
I can see Leinster going all out to beat Wasps, they’ll have a home SF and the final is home for us too I suppose.

I do like that the French and English do have a point that not enough Pro 12 teams play in Almin, and hence its seen as a poor Cup.
We'll see what happens in th a talks, how this will be rejigged, the knockouts over the last few years, have had big teams in them.
Leinster V Toulouse final looks likely, and if Leinster win, Connacht will be in H-cup again next year.
But Ulster or Munster winning H-cup would also achieve that.
An Ulster V Munster H-cup final with leinster V toulouse the day before, would make some weekend out in Dublin.
