Enough said really.
He's found gametime hard to come by and hasn't progressed tbh.
He needs this really

Dunno how good this is for Connacht to be fair. Both Vainikolo and O'Halloran have been good for them. Would he be coming in for Fetu'u or Tiernan? And what about Poolman/McCrea/Loxton and the Academy boys?

He was thier star player a few years ago, but Connacht have progressed since then, I'm not sure that he would get into the starting XV. but its good for them to have that competition in the backs, and Carr is still a very good player.

The more depth the better me thinks.
He was always good for them and we have buffed up his defence and kicking game a fair bit

French clubs are after Fetu and his contract is up this year. Also rumours are going around that Loxton could be leaving.
Even if he isn't starting he'll be a good squad player. You can never have too much dept.

Fair enough, didn't realise Vainikolo was on the move.
Having a look through the Connacht Academy, still can't believe Henshaw is only a Phase 1 player... Literally came from Schools to a spot in the Irish training camp in what 8 months? And Marmion is only in Phase 2? Connacht's academy is looking good for players!

He must be kicking himself. He missed a potential two years playing in the h cup to sit on the bench in Leinster (if that). Good luck to him. He's a fine player and Connacht need a boost.

Re: Carr back to Connacht
Connacht Acamady seams to be producing some really good players, Griffin, O'Halloran, Marimon, Henshaw, would hope Vainikolo stays, but Connachts quality of NIQ player is better than ever before.
Parks, Vainikolo, Big George, add in the new young players from th eacamady, and players just not quite making it in thier own province, McSherry, Faloon, and you can see Connacht are really building towards something.
Given that to be there's a fair chance of being in H-cup next year also, (Ulster or Munster win H-cup, or Leinster win Almin), and the new H-cup qualifing rules will prob result in it being easier for Connacht to qualify in thier own right, makes them appealing to go to.
Connacht's defensive has been good this year, one of the best, given thier position in the league, Lam seams to have helped Somoa as attack coach, therefore I feel that if he takes over a team, that has been created as difficult to beat, and can add a better attack (and Connacht do have some very good backs), I think they can take a step forward next year and have the potentional to break into top 6.
