India v England, Fourth ODI, Mohali
First topic message reminder :
The 4th match of the ongoing series between India and England takes place tomorrow at the PCA stadium Mohali.
India are 2-1 up in the series and would want to rap the series up here itself. Over the last couple of matches, the bowling unit clicked together, providing quite some relief to skipper Mahendra Singh Dhoni, although the led bowler Ishant Sharma's inconsistencies should be a matter of concern. In the batting department, there has been too much reliance on the captain in recent times, but the return to form of Virat Kohli in the last match again provides Dhoni some space. The opening is a trouble spot, Gautam Gambhir's struggles have now extended into ODI cricket as well, and Ajinkya Rahane hasn't been able to take his chances. It is unlikely though that Cheteshwar Pujara would make his ODI debut tomorrow, as the team management may not opt to change a winning combination.
After a promising start to the series, familiar problems have returned to haunt England. The 2 batting collapses in the last 2 matches were quite dreadful. Although James Tredwell has stepped in well for Graeme Swann, Steven Finn bowled well, and Joe Root and Samit Patel combined well for the 5th bowler duties, the support seamers, Jade Dernbach, Tim Bresnan and Chris Wokes were very disappointing so far. There are hints that hard hitting wicketkeeper Jos Buttler might come in for the inconsistent Craig Kieswetter, and Dernbach might give way to Stuart Meaker.
Conditions won't be too demanding for England, and in fact, there should be some life for their quicks on the Mohali track.

Glad to see Bresnan rather than Dernbach with the new ball...they're learning.
Fancy we might see a few overs of spin from all three today , which will provide options for the closing overs. This will be a good test for Cook as skipper.

Gambhir gone, this not bothering to get a start!. But first look at the replay suggests he was a bit unlucky.

Gambhir certainly looked shocked at the decision...but the appeal was spontaneous , and my first thought was "out "... Replays not conclusive...
Whatever , a fine over from Bresnan. First ball to Kohli was a good one.
Early yet.

KP planning some long term damage for the India ODI team, helping Sharma as much as possible, He should have taken that, KP. And another one falling just short of Pietersen!.

Both batsmen really trying to bring KP into the game
Nearly brought off a good catch there...Rohit should perhaps be a little more careful here...

Finn spoils a good over with a friendly short ball. Rohit rather grateful.

Good from the opening bowling pair. Hope Dernbach can come on and find a groove...

35-1 after 10. England in a better position. Sharma has survived without looking set, and Kohli hasn't got going as yet.

If the Indians are allowed to mention tendulkar after 100 or so tests of not being as good then ers are allowed to mention players that haven't long term proven they are worse.
I totaly forgot about this game. Have India won yet?

That should have been caught ! Fine leg fieldsman and keeper unfortunately both closed on it together , and apparently saw each other late and both more or less stopped...

Dernbach!!! I literally hate the guy, I get so wound up looking at cricinfo when he's bowling:
Dernbach to x, FOUR
Dernbach to x, 1 wide
Every b***dy over he ever bowls!

India getting on top here with the bowling changes. Dernbach expensive.
Going to need something from Tredwell ...and probably Patel and Root too.

Think Cook should take Patel off for now, Dernbach is giving runs away you need someone like Tredwell to put some pressure back on India.

Re: India v England, Fourth ODI, Mohali
Probably should bowl Root ,with an eye to not using Dernbach for the full ten...at the moment Dernbach isn't presenting a threat , though had England kept a slip in they might have had one then...
Tredwell now ...key bowler I reckon. After this start India are clear favourites , so will need some wickets here , and he seems the best chance.

Kohli is a big wicket and Tredwell gets it for England. Yuvraj playing in front of home crowd, he has to play a big hand today.

England resting the control a bit. Testing times for Yuvraj, Tredwell has troubled him a lot in the series.

Re: India v England, Fourth ODI, Mohali
Glad to see Cook trying all his spinners...think this will need some deft shuffling of bowlers if India are to be restrained to a losing score.
Tredwell bowling well , but I feel England need to nip Yuvraj out before he gets set , otherwise this could get away fast.
And they do ! Tredwell

Really impressed by Roots bowling in this series. The Indians have only been able to get at him breifly and although he isnt a real wicket taking threat hes done his job as well if not better than a certain fat Indian Leicester lad.
Tredwells taking a pasting suddenly mind :/

England are up against a historic innings, how long before the next one Rohit? This was always a possibility after the last 5 games produced 13 runs for him.

Couple of good overs for India...England need another break here.
Perhaps bring back Finn for a couple ?

Re: India v England, Fourth ODI, Mohali
Seriously I see no point in Dernbach bowling now.
England need a wicket , urgently to arrest this run rate , and Dernbach has done nothing to suggest he is the most likely to take it...all this is doing is donating more cheap runs.
I am afraid this game is all but over unless one of these fellows makes a mistake now. Finn must bowl , but I suspect the horse is away...

This is bobbins now :/
Bowling Dernbach made sense...Sharma was murdering the spinners. Or perhaps it shouldve been Finn or Bresnan, but at least England have them in the bag to bowl at the stumps later
