Hendry decides not too retire
Seven-time world champion Stephen Hendry has ended speculation about his future by confirming to the BBC he intends to play on next season.
The 42-year-old Scotsman had hinted at retirement after losing 13-4 in the second round to Mark Selby.
But speaking at the Crucible where he is commentating on the semi-finals he said: "I still love playing the game. I want the chance to come back here.
"I'm going to play all the tournaments. There's no point being half-hearted.
I hope Hendry does well this season because if he doesn't he's more than likely to retire.Hendrys well past his best and is just hoping to find some form in the coming season.
What do you think of his decision? Can does he win another major tournament?

Re: Hendry decides not too retire
I can't see him winning major tournaments and for that reason I'm not sure why he wants to keep on playing. He said himself that Steve Davis is still playing because he enjoys it, whereas he plays to win and if he can't win then he wouldn't want to keep playing.
Personally I'm glad he's decided to continue because he's arguably the greatest snooker player that ever lived so it's always a bonus to see him play.
For his own satisfaction though I'm not sure if it's the right decision.

Think he still believes he can win tournaments but I don't. As long as Stephen believes he can win he will keep competing. Good for the sport because he's a big name and people will always be interested in watching him.
One of the greatest of all time and hope he goes on for many years. Snooker needs it's big names.

Think Ding beating Bungham had a heavy weighing on his decision... If he slips from the top 16 I reckon he'll jack it in
