Your key 6Ns game
The one which marks your attainable, aspirational level.
Forget France at home or Wales away for me.
Get over to Dublin and kick some arse to salve the hurt and shame of '11.

Even losing to Italy at home lostinwales?lostinwales wrote:The next one....
If that occurred, I'd consider my wrists, a Stanley knife and a warm bath.
And so should my team.

Hmm, well, I am looking no farther than Cardiff on Saturday. Will assess things after the final whistle, hopefully with a smile on my face & a cold pint in my hand. This Championship could go either way for Ireland to be honest. Believe.

You don't remember the grand slam final game against Wales (home) game at Wembley for Scotland to win the championship, Jim Telfer remembers!

Wales is a bg one but it does seem Ireland have been such a bogey tem for England over the professional years (espec away) that has to be the one. They are likley to be stronger opposition than Wales oo.

We should be somewhere near full strength by then so I feel you may be clutching at straws. On the other hand if we have managed to lose all previous games you might be in with a shout!Peter Seabiscuit Wheeler wrote:Wales is a bg one but it does seem Ireland have been such a bogey tem for England over the professional years (espec away) that has to be the one. If England can beat Ireland in Dublin for the first time since 2003, I think they'll win the Grand Slam. Or at least the Championship.

Yeah, as an England fan it's Ireland away that will mark how we're doing.
Regardless of Ireland's struggles under Kidney our record over there needs some improvement.

For me it's the first game. Wales never seem to be able to pick themselves up if they lose the first one.

Re: Your key 6Ns game
Of the tournament I think it will be Wales vs Ireland and Ireland vs England.
If Wales lose the first match I think they may face a tough battle for the wooden spoon.
If England win in Ireland I think they will win the grand slam.

Re: Your key 6Ns game
Scotland's key game is England, if we win we have three home games in a row starting with Italy.
If we lose by a small margin after a good performance we can take on the good points to play Italy
If we are thrashed after an awful performance and don't recover before Italy we'll have a mountain to climb

Re: Your key 6Ns game
The key game for me England v France.
I am also weary of Wales as well..... If Ireland win this Saturday, then even if Wales (do not) win another game they will not want too lose to England.
So for me it those 2 teams.
