I can't see City clawing it back this season.
United looked highly determined yesterday and thoroughly deserved to beat us.

Indeed Afro. I though it was a great team effort to ensure you didnt have a change of getting into the game. Jones did well taking Fellaini out the game

Re: Euro Division Homepage XLVIII
One thing that does annoy me is the praise of Phil Jones man-marking Fellaini.
If anyone had been watching any of our recent games would see that Fellaini has not been playing well in recent weeks and had pretty much being doing exactly the same as he did yesterday and getting frustrated. And that is with no one marking him.
Sod - comfort yourself in the knowledge that you still have the highest placed English manager in the league

I typed most of that before I read your post.
It looked effective, but it didn't really do much more than has been happening recently anyway

Afrojit, he hasn't been playing well since his return from 3 game ban but with two goals last week, everyone know he can always be a threat. Jones did well, maybe a bit over hyped in the media but hes English, its going to happen.

Yep, although I think he might only be competing with Arry, McDermott and Pardew.
True Zinedine. He is always a threat, but he just has been getting very frustrated recently

I met Adel Taarabt in the referees room beforehand and shook his hand. I could see in his face that he was thinking 'oh no, he's going to be man-marking me'.
iirc QPR won that game.

I reckon Taarabt was thinking, "I can't wait to nutmeg this idiot."

The most impressive part of Phil Jones' performance was that even when he went off and was sat on the bench, Fellaini still played poorly

It must have been because he was so frustrated by Phil Jones' marking job that he just couldn't refocus on the game.
From what I saw of it, it wasn't a great game. I only caught the last bit when it was well over though.

Re: Euro Division Homepage XLVIII
all the haters are out. Little bit of praise for a Man United player and look at you lot.
Fellaini player rubbish because hes rubbish, Jones contributed nothing to it. Joe Hart is still the best keeper in the world and Wilshere is amazing, hes like Jesus himself.
Its going to be hard at the Bernabeu, I dont think we will get a win. Away goal would be nice, draw. If we lose I hope its not by too many so we can overturn it at Old Trafford.

I reckon Real are fragile if you have a go at them. I wouldn't be surprised at United progressing at all.
To be fair to Wilshere, even you must admit he's come back as a quality player. I'd quite like a midfield of him and Jones for England actually.

There seems a lot of respect between him and Sir Alex though. Not saying it won't happen, but I doubt he'd be gobbing off about United all the time.

Chris Hughton played for Ireland, therefore he has chosen to be Irish in my eyes and isn't an English manager

Was that this morning? I wasn't listening.
How is it blatant from a football perspective, when he has chosen to play for Ireland?
Truth is, he was born in England and is English from any other perspective, but playing for Ireland does make it less obvious from a footballing perspective.
Olly was right though. I just forgot about him when I came up with my original list
