Robben is a bit average nowadays, Hernandez however is a fantastic signing!

GSC - take a look at my squad, there's plenty there to choose from Smile

Afro - I considered Robben last week, will be interesting to see how he's rated in voting.

I genuinely rate Susaeta over Robben currently, and he's £12.5m cheaper! Although Robben still has that star power.

Robben has been generally injured, so it's difficult to say how he is rated. I had an alternative, but if he is over his injury properly this time, then he is much more than a £19.5m player.

A year ago he was one of the most sought after player in these leagues

If he carries on from the weekend, bagging assists (2 in his first game back, plus unlucky not to score a couple), £19.5m will be a bargain.

Pato is an interesting one for me. Was brilliant and fell out with Milan. Now back in Brazil. Could go either way that one as well

Hernandez, a 'fantastic' signing? I don't think so myself, he barely plays for United and it'll be very difficult to mould him into tactics, seeing as he doesn't understand them. 'Try and stay onside' is about the only thing he can be told, and he can't even do that Laugh

Great goal poacher, but fitting him into tactics and giving him instructions will be very, very difficult. He's not got a style that you can control.

Yeah, 19.5m might've been a tad on the pricey side for a guy whos 3rd choice and is a poacher mainly.

Robber returned this weekend gone, got an assist. He should of scored but as always he was a thorn in the oppositions defense. Business time in the CL too, I can see Robben ripping Arsenal a new one. Few good Cl games, Bayern quality and his rating could sky rocket.
Heck he may even challenge Pedro for best winger in the league.

Saying that I dont feel people give Pedro enough, Hes quality for Barca but because they have Messi, Xavi, Iniesta hes overshadowed.

Greggers, Cheers on the Chicharito comment.
I well cuffed with signing him, should really do well for me.

Pato is a bigger gamble than Robben IMO.

Seems like Robben is going to have to be the new Wilshere then.

Injuries mean he can't possibly be rated, but then he'll come back from injuries, and based on the weekend's game, be as good as before Whistle

Azzy, Greggers, disagree. You say hes 3rd choice, well 3rd choice has 14 goals in all competitions this season. Thats one behind first chocie Fernando at chelsea has in all comps.
Chicharito is a predator in the box!

Well on the weekend Muller sat on the bench while Robben started & played full 90 mins ina 4-0 win.

Chicharito is a fantastic signing. Greggers, you wanted him. Azzy, you just hate Man United so there we go. Worst thing is you vote on my games Azzy. Oh well maybe I messed up there

Robben has not been available to be a choice. he has been injured.

He came back from injury and at the chance, Heynckes dropped Muller to bring him back in.

Preferred to Muller is a pretty good rating to me.

Goalscorers are priceless in this game and Chicharito is exactly that. And he has played and scored goals when United have been playing different systems, so I as long as he is played as a goalscorer, then he is a good signing.

Thank you, that exactly what Ive bought him for. Goalscoring predator in the box.

Oh yeah. Haha,
Viva & Trebs as Man United fans will appreciate Chicharitos strengths.
I could be alright then as long us a deploy him correctly that is.

I never said Hernandez wasn't a good player, just that he's not the Pele-esque signing you lot seem to be fawning over.

He scores tap ins mainly. That's not something that ever comes into voting in this league. He can't stay onside, he's one-dimensional, and like I said, I think near impossible to mould into tactics.

How can your tactics be 'find space in the box and score goals'? That's like me saying to Gerrard 'shoot from 35 yards like you did in the FA Cup final' Shocked

Good signing, not 'fantastic' in my book. But you won't find it affects my voting, unless your tactics fail to utilise his poachery OK

Considering it's the start of the season again, I reckon we can put up a "team feedback" page as we did previously if people want feedback on where their team is at and where to improve. Anyone want that?

Azzy, for where the league currently is he is a fantastic signing. Hes a goalscorer.
I dont get where your coming from in terms of "mould into tactics".
He plays off the shoulder, hence why he gets caught offside. Lot of strikers who play that way do, Adebayor when at arsenal was a culprit of the same yet he banged in goals the same season where he was the most offside player in the PL.
I dont need to write in tactics "'find space in the box and score goals" because you should all be aware of his knack for finding space, popping up in the right place at the right time & for a small guy his great ability to head the ball (I call it great because he is small & you dont see many small strikers with such a good spring & header).

I'm sure Treb's had signed Daley Blind and then sold him again through the lawyers, but perhaps it was one of the other managers.

He is a decent young player is going to improve and his value will only go upwards.

Not sure about Aspas for Berbatov though. Fairly even I would say

No need for a team feedback page surely, we all know where we need to improve (I hope we do anyway!)

Daley Blind will turn into an outstanding player. He's no De Sciglio, but then again, who is? heart

tbh these leagues in the past have a habit of having these strikers who get goals regardless, like in the previous version it was papiss cisse, no matter what the tactics were it would always be Cissex2, just because hes a finisher

I got Chicharito as he is a goalscorer.

Can do, wasn't sure if it was definitely going ahead.

So Semi Final week it would be 3 competitions going on?

TSJ Double D Cup: 4x Group Winners
TSJ Double D Trophy: 4x 2nd in Group
TSJ Double D Vase: 4x 3rd in Group

It's not part of the same cup.

Just a token Bowl and Spoon semi final/final, to keep the other 8 managers interested a bit longer

Based it on the FA's competitions.

TSJ Double D Cup: Winner £10m, Runner up £5m
TSJ Double D Trophy: Winner £3m, Runner up £1.5m
TSJ Double D Vase: Winner £2m, Runner up £1m

Would that be ok for everyone?

Got to have some motivation for winning the Trophy or Vase Afro, or no-one will take it seriously and it ends up a mockery.
