qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
QPR'S automatic promotion into the Premier League is set to be blocked by the FA.
SunSport understands the runaway Championship leaders are likely to face a big points deduction - possibly up to 15 - if they are found guilty of breaking strict third-party ownership rules over the signing of Alejandro Faurlin.
The evidence against the West London club is said to be damning and they could now end up in the play-offs.
The only winners would be Cardiff and Norwich who could then go up automatically.
The hearing into the signing of the Argentine midfielder two years ago begins next Tuesday and a verdict will be delivered three days later.
A four-man panel will comprise an independent QC, two from the FA's disciplinary panel and a football expert who will be either a former player or boss.
In theory, they should begin with a blank sheet of paper but many at the FA are openly discussing the case and reckon QPR - five points clear at the top of the table - are in big trouble. Those who have seen the evidence say Rangers are defending the indefensible.
An FA source said: "There's no question QPR have broken the rules. They know it as well. The only debate is what to do about it.
"If they aren't found guilty you might as well scrap the rules about third-party owners."
Some within the corridors of power believe QPR should be hit hard because they were well aware they were acting outside the regulations.
When West Ham were punished over the Carlos Tevez affair they were actually found guilty of failure to disclose information - not of breaking third-party ownership rules because such legislation did not exist.
Since then the FA have made third-party ownership illegal so the argument is QPR were worse offenders because they were well aware they were committing an offence.
If Neil Warnock's side are found guilty they will have seven days to appeal.
However, if QPR take legal action or other clubs decide to seek legal avenues because of points they lost when Faurlin played against them, the whole issue could drag on throughout the summer.
The nightmare scenario could even be that the Championship promotion play-offs do not take place at all until the issue is resolved.

this could be a very key issue
before people say west ham got away with a fine.
the f.a implemented the rule after the west ham scandal to stop things like this happening again

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
Shame if this happens QPR have got some brilliant players like Adel Taarabt players that have got the quality too be in the prem.If there deducted 15 points and don't win the play offs alot of there star players will leave. Not looking good for Neil Warnocks side.
Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
I want Cardiff to stay down!!!!!!!!!!
will never hear the end of it if they go up, however Warnock's interview if they dont get promoted will be hilarious
If they don't go up and Tarrabt leaves their chances of promotion the next season are slim due to him being the guy who has influenced their season.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
although that being said the QPR owners would probably throw money at the team for another promotion push
example i would imagine the owners would allow Warnock to chuck money into buying Nicky Maynard ( ) he only has one year left on his contract and if an offer of say £4.5m was offerd i imagine we would find it hard to turn down, Maynard is one of the best strikers in the league and has been touted with moves to the premier league in the summer anyway.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
Apparently the decision might not be announced until Monday. If thats the case, then im lead to believe that any points deduction will happen once they are in the Premiership. As the season ends on Saturday a points deduction cant be effective for the Championship. (Unless they make a new rule)

turns out it can y i cos they've already charged them.
it's only if haven't charged them they can't do a thing.

So much for my reliable source.
Well that changes everything. There is still hope for Leeds getting 6th place.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
I wouldn't understand why if they did get a points deduction as there situation is very similar to that of the whole Tevez/Mascherano ordeal at West Ham and they just received a fine. It would be very unfair on the club to receive any other form of punishment.
It will be interesting to see what Warnock has to say afterwards whatever the results seeing as he kicked up such a fuss about West Ham not getting deducted points.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
The FA has charged Queens Park Rangers FC with seven breaches of FA regulations.
The Club charges relate to the player Alejandro Faurlin and concern the alleged existence of an agreement between the Club and a third party in respect of the player’s economic rights, and the alleged failure by the Club to notify The FA of that agreement before the player was registered to play in England in July 2009.
These charges are brought under FA Rules C1(b)(iii) and E3, and the Third Party Investment in Players Regulations, A1 and A2.
The Club is also charged with allegedly using or seeking to pay an Unauthorised Agent in relation to the player’s registration in July 2009. This charge is brought under the Players Agents Regulations, A1.
The Club and Club Official Gianni Paladini are also charged in respect of allegedly false information contained in documents submitted to The FA in relation to the same player signing an extension to his playing contract with the Club in October 2010. These charges are brought under the Players Agents Regulations, C2, and FA Rule E3.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
Forest have a 6+ goal difference over us Hodge. We play QPR and Forest have Palace. We need QPR to get more than a 15pt deduction. Clutching at straws but its tense for everyone involved.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
YI you have broken the golden rule of betting - never bet on Cardiff! I have a horrible feeling we'll choke again tomorrow and let Swansea finish above us....with the possibility of them getting auto promotion if QPR get a deduction.
I don't think there will be deduction though. The FA have said the playoffs won't be delayed regardless of the outcome - QPR would appeal if they had a deduction.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
Burnley are poor, (well they were last game against Leeds) and have nothing to play for. With the good odds on Cardiff for playing away i couldnt miss them off the accie.

Re: qpr to be deducted up to 15 points!
Burnley can still take 7th place and with the QPR issue up in the air they have an outside shout at a playoff place to go for.

I would rather have Forest than Reading tbh, they've both been on good runs but Reading have been really good
Swansea Vs Reading final for me
