Botha fails drug test.

So while he was robbed in the SBW fight it appears justice was done in the end with Botha failing a drugs test. So many stories like this in boxing now its getting harder to defend the sport.

I've read reports today that both camps had agreed to 10 rounds shortly before the fight started, with Botha's promoter instructing people not to tell him.

On the contrary. I would welcome more positive tests, as long as they were punished accordingly. The problem is that the likes of Peterson test positive and it has little or no detrimental effect on their career.

Just another twist to this circus act of a fight.

More controversy as it turns out nobody is quite sure as to who tested Botha.

Apparently there was no WBA official at the fight, while there is no drug testing policy in Queensland! And then it turns out Botha's camp knew it was a 10 rounded the whole time, but didnt tell their OWN fighter. I mean how much worse can this BS get? And how can WBA have a championship bout with literally no WBA official?

I think the WBA have taken a big step in the right direction and decided to ignore their own titles just like the fans do. Either that or they had another 4 fights all for some form of WBA intercontinental joke title the same night and ran out of employees.

I wouldn't blame a fighter in his 40's for juicing. Its a hard game and natural testosterone levels take a dive in the 40's.

Boxing is a young mans game traditionally. Steroids appear to have changed that.
