First topic message reminder :

I agree Digs - what I was commenting on was not their lack of invention, but their lack of cohesion. They did not get the basics right, the least a back has to do is commit his opposite number, which becomes more important against the 'drift' defence, and then follow up and support. This was not happening yesterday, apart from Chris ashton on occasions.

I have not seen Goode play in his club matches, but on a number of occasions, he caught the ball deep, began to run, hesitated and then was caught without any support. I can't remember ever seeing Ben Foden caught like that. It is yet another sign of a lack of cohesion in the backs.

Of course, this probably is all due to the fact they are a relatively new squad and should come together the more they play together. But on the face of it, I think yesterday was a fair showing against a team that in my opinion is still there to be taken and will possibly only get one win in this series.

I reckon John Bobbitt's had more luck with the ladies than Super.

nb. When I googled him to check the spelling I came across an article with him claiming to have had over 70 sexual partners since his "op"!!

Ha ha. I once spent nearly an hour surfing the internet trying to find out for definite about her sexuality. Read various interviews etc and I might be wrong but I'm sure I remember reading an interview where she was being coy about having a fella.

I have to confess I've always a fondness for Laura, used to see her at Wimbledon dog track quite regularly and was fascinated by her shape. Never seemed actually fat just a square body with quite/relatively slim legs. She always seems like a great laugh too.

Sharon off Eastenders is like that, I call her SpongeBob Squarepants.

Ha ha yeah I can see that but he's yellow rather than orange isn't he?

Laugh Now, S_R must be seriously unlucky to have it worse than poor Mr. Bobbitt. Didn't he have a (presumably laughable) porn career for a while on the back of the 'fame'? Probably what he means when he says he's had some luck with then ladies since his op. Wasn't there another case similar recently? Sure I read something and the women got a pretty 'stiff' sentence I think...

Watching the womens open and it looks like they are playing something similar to the medal tees. Surprised how short they are hitting it though, barely getting over the road on 18 with driver.

I'd rather have a moderate driving length and the career of a Poulter or Donald than be a long hitter and be a nobody like Jason Kokrak, Tag Ridings or Ryan Palmer,

According to the LPGA website the biggest hitter on the tour averages 274 yards.

Would be mighty impressive if Inbee Park won 4 straight majors.

Still 3 yards short of Donalds PGA average in 2013 and 8 behind Poulter.

Park has done a Westwood/Nine Chins and gassed it.

What I don't get is why the women's short games don't make up for their lack of distance? They don't even match the men in short game stats, when I'd expect them to be at least as good if not better.

Presumably its just about numbers. The talent pool to produce women's pro golfers must be massively smaller than the men's.
Therefore less exceptional players are going to be produced which will reflect in all aspects of their game compared to the men.

I would be quite interested to know at what level of amateur male a female tour pro is comparable with. I reckon perhaps no better than scratch.

Super

pro female golfer is much better than a scratch golfer, pretty obviously really given you get scratch women who are nowhere near pro level.

I quite like Baseball, but the players have been doped up for ages haven't they? Every now and then they catch a few and then it happens again a few years later.

I did enjoy ESPN America, shame that has been cancelled. Go Mets or Red Sox, i am undecided. Same as with the Giants/Vikings or Patriots in NFL. I have items for all of them!

Thanks for the informative answer Kwini . -[

I like Baseball myself. However Hawkeye would smash it as a system in this game. I am sure there is a lot of banter about what may be a strike or not!!

The great thing about baseball is that if you swing it doesnt matter if the pitch hits the virtual plate or not. So hawkeye would only have to track.. And could be set up to instantly green or red light a pitch..

In regards to the doping. Yeah just another doping scandel- I suppose Baseball being a sport heavily reliant on arm power over a sport like cricket that has so many equal variables its going to have problems..

I think the huge disparity in money between the games makes a difference as well Mysti. All the top baseball players are on multi million pound contracts and anyone in the majors is making very good money.
Guess the players will be tempted to do anything to get the money and the glory. A Rod does seem like a prize dick.

I remember what 2-3 years ago United fans laughing at suggestions Bale was better than Evra, its really not that long ago people didn't know his position or rate him. Remember his run of games played in the Premiership without a win ?
Clearly Bales had 2 great years but lets give Zaha a chance to see what he can do in a good side. He definitely has a touch of class but be interesting to see how he fares in the Premiership.
