Morning,

Wilshere was immense again tonight. If Barca come calling when Xavi gets to 34/35, he needs to go there.
More likely Man City come calling in the summer and he moves there.
They lads good & yes I felt he was Arsenals best player last night. Not being funny but if a top club come calling, if I was him I put a lot of though into moving clubs.
With Arsenal's current situation. If that changes & improves then stay.
He could end up another Gerrard - turns into a great player but never wins that Premier League medal.

He grew up a West Ham fan, so he's used to disappointment at club level.

I don't think Wilshere would sign for City, they're a badly managed club with prima donnas left, right and centre. United yes, but City is a poisoned chalice.

Morning btw Euro Division Homepage XLIX - Page 18 3559488474

Arsenal got schooled last night. Their defence is shocking - Vermaelen is not the player he used to be, Sagna is dreadful these days, and Mertesacker has yet to 'get' Arsenal's style. Wenger needs to sort the back four out.

Wilshere would be perfect for United. Look at all the success whilst Scholes was in the team, they could now have someone bringing similar skills, but better.

And Wenger needs to sort his stubborness out and give Steve Bould a bit more freedom to school the defence. Any poor defence can be improved just through a bit of organisation and communication.

I think they need to break the defence up and start again. None of the parts seem to fit together and there always seems to be chopping and changing.

He'll could be a snip at £10m.

Or he could be a very expensive addition to your treatment table.

He has been out for the past 20 months with two serious knee injuries.

He is due to return around this time if I get my maths right, but those are some pretty bad knocks he's had.

But CF, voting isn't done on how good a player used to be, it's done on how good he is NOW - and Rossi will probably never get back to the level he was at. I'd love to be wrong, but he's had probably the worst injuries out of any professional footballer who's come back from injury - people with lesser injuries have retired.

Could be a bargain, but is a huge risk. Before his injury he was being linked with Barca and was worth £25-30m. But the injury is a bad one and he hasn't played for 18 months.

It isn't like a Wilshere injury which was a bone and unlikely to affect his ability. It's knee ligaments and 3 operations. He could easily come back and break down again.

I have my doubts, given his game was all about pace and movement, that he will be the same player. I hope I am wrong though, because I really liked him as a player.

10m is too much for a guy who hasn't played for 18 months and has no knees left. Given he wasn't exactly a world beater to begin with. Sorry, can't buy that one.

Azzy, really reckon Andrea Scholes+ would join United?
He would fit in the team perfectly tbf.

In fairness to Verm, hes not best at LB & in the center he still looks solid. Mertesacker is a joke. Sagna hasnt been great since injury return.

tbh I think you missing the big picture. I said this last season & at the start of this season.
People banged on about Man United weak midfield. Arsenals is weaker. Its just not as documented as they aren't on the same level of Man United.
Bayern won that game in midfield. Theirs was better than Arsenals in every department.

But I think Arsenal's expectations are much lower than United's. They showed that when they sold RVP to United.

That makes that a bit like saying that Fulham's midfield is worse than United's, but no one documents it. The comparison for United should be to Real, Barca, Bayern, City etc, possibly Chelsea, and out of those, yours is probably the worst midfield

This ^ clap

I remember saying exactly this at the time, when everyone was raving about when he first joined Arsenal. The hype was all because of his goals, and not his defending. He ain't no Vidic, and never was he close.

Mathieu is a great FB if you are planning to play him for his attacking flair. I'm not sure you have the CBs or DMs to really make best use of Mathieu though.

But he is on a par with Piszczek, so losing Pisz and gaining Mathieu plus cash has to count as good business. The other three I am not so sure about

Fletcher isn't a bad player, he's not in action right now but will be in action before the end of the season.

As for Rossi, it's a gamble, but £10m would work out to be very cheap if he regains his form. And if not, a lawyers offer means CF could make a profit on him.

Waste of £7m CF. He isnt playing so his rating is just going to drop. You got done in the bottom hole there.

I think the problem will be that he won't play until April, so that's 6-10 weeks really and then he has to get sharp and recover his form. It is going to be season 3 before he is able to recover any sort of rating and £10m is a lot to invest now for a player for next season.

But you are right a lawyers offer would help it turn it into a good investment

No he hasn't. 26th Dec 2012 was his last match. In Jan 2013 he was ruled out for rest of the season.

& btw I actually love him as a player. but not playing gets you nowhere in these leagues.

Nah, i'm not like that. I sold a £6.6m player for £7m, who plays for Manchester United. He's still got the ability and unlike Rossi, will be able to pick up where he left off when he does return.

Azzy, look at the difference between Mario Gomez & In Form Mandzukic

Gomez: http://www.futhead.com/fifa/players/2526/
In Form Mandzukic: http://www.futhead.com/fifa/players/12525/

Mandzukic rated 83 but his stats are much better than normal Gomez who rated 87.

Think ill be selling Gomez & getting InForm Mandzukic.

Ohhh now hes not. Gomez has a great shot. Ive scored some scorches with him.
My hybrid team I have Gomes as ST & Lewandowski as CF. Works a treat. Lewandowski speed playing off Gomez and his great header.
After seeing InForm Mandzukic stats im gona sell Gomez & get him.
