increase attendances for welsh regions
I feel there has been much discussion for years on this, but I feel the simplest way of increasing attendances is to abolish fixed ticket pricing. I want a fan to be able to pay what he/she wants/can pay as he/she enters his or her region's ground.
Welsh rugby, I feel, will not compete with the French and English when it comes to money, but we can attract more fans, get more support behind the boys on the field.
We need to think less in terms of money, and more in terms of what's best for our game in Wales, and I feel that is good support, good atmosphere and good spirit.
I want this to apply to our clubs and our national side as well.

It's a very nice sentiment, but totally against what every person involved in the professional game thinks!!!
The WRU are a money making machine, pure and simple, and the regions are dead in the water without creating some profit.
I agree with you totally some new tactics regarding getting fans through the gates is needed and this one might work unless your a Dragons fan attending their next home game. There will be a lot of penny's and buttons in the pot next time round!!!

I don't think there would be a significant change in profit if the regions/clubs/national side did this. I feel people are fair.

Unfortunately the WRU is a profit making organisation with some pretty big debts (millenium)and they "own" the regions.
The fan base in Wales in still mainly loyal to the old clubs... like Pooler fir example. so with the woeful attendances at the regions you are never going to generate any serious revenue to enable the regions to be independant of the WRU.
The WRU does not appear to care how well the regions do in Europe, and why would they? They dont make any money out of it. But as long as they can keep filling the millenium during the Internationals they are happy.
