Wolves
First topic message reminder :
Now very much in danger of dropping into the 3rd tier of English football after sinking into the relegation zone coming off a loss to relegation rivals Barnsley.
Can trace it all back to the point when they sacked MM, a man with a good record of bringing teams up, and had no plan B. Not sure which of Connor, Stolbakken or Saunders are worse, they're all pretty dire appointments

Re: Wolves
I'm not a Wolves fan Azzy, so mock away if it makes you feel good, doesn't bother me in the slightest. I don't really support anyone to be honest. Have to say though, rather sad some of the comments above, how you can revell in a clubs demise, rivals or not.
I'm not surprised Saunders has gone, I don't know but he just didn't seem up to it. As I said above, they were too quick to sack McCarthy, they may have got relegated from the PL but they sure as hell wouldn't be where they are now if they'd have stood by him. I think I'm right in saying he and Morgan had a blazing row after the WBA game, which I think brought the sacking?

Re: Wolves
No worries JPX, I don't think anyone is admitting to being a Wolves fan at the moment
I love seeing our fiercest rivals plunging down the leagues. It's really gratifying. After years of a ding-dong rivalry, we are now clearly the better and bigger side. I would be ecstatic to see them fall to non-league.
Mick was stubborn, Morgan hot-headed, so any argument wouldn't surprise me. I really do think Morgan has to take the lion's share of the blame here.

Re: Wolves
Problem is Azzy, fortunes can soon turn around!
Would it have been Morgans decision to invest in the stadium rather than the playing squad at the beginning of season 11/12? That was the biggest error if you ask me, so if that was Morgan, then he must shoulder most of the blame, for me. Invest in the squad and when you are a mid table PL side, then you invest in the stadium, not when you are scrapping relegation every year.

Morgans biggest failure is his choice of managers.
Deciding not to hire Steve Bruce at the start of the season compounds laundry list of mistakes post McCarthy.

Re: Wolves
Or Curbishley when they were in the Prem. Should have given him a 3 year deal there and then.

I wouldn't hire Curbishley at this point.

Re: Wolves
Bruce turned them down didn't he? Wasn't it over the budget for the playing squad or something (or so my contacts tell me anyway )

Wolves announcing there player retained list
Ebanks Blake is a player i wouldn't mind signing, if we could afford his wages.

His previous job's haven't been bad.
Worked wonders with Charton and wasn't doing a bad job with West Ham, just there was problems with the owners.

He hasn't a job in what 6 years? Way too long out the game and no Championship experience in years

Curbishley wouldnt be a bad move, hed offer the boring you'd need to progress, or at least stabilise. He left West Ham cos the fans just got bored of him basically.

Re: Wolves
Seriously doubt the wisdom of hiring a Prem-level manager (a la Curbishley) to get out of Div 1 - you need someone who's completely up to speed with that level of play, the competition, what's required to get promoted. A Warnock-type, 25 years younger.

Elokobi is too slow to be a full back IMO. Nothing said i think the bloke is a legend and is beastttttttttttttttt
Kenny Jacket should take over Wolves IMO. Or even Aidy Boothroyd.
