You need to get your son back on side sharpish. He might end up liking rugby at this rate, and even if he doesn't he'll support Wales who are just awful. Get him into the English spirit with some football kits, mild hooliganism and heavy drinking.

I've gone down the road of compromise, that as long as he is forced into being an Evertonian, we can restrict his future prospects by being Welsh.

To be honest, whatever your nationality, you can't avoid rugby round by us, much more than football. the good thing is that as he is just old enough to realise what is happening on the rugby pitch, England are building a good side and glory supporting could well take over.

I keep quiet on the basis that Wales being rubbish at football, and generally worse than England at rugby most of the time, that one of two things will happen.

1) He'll realise that being Welsh is just a path to disappointment, or
2) He'll choose Wales and I'll have years of being able to mock him, and him having to buy me drinks whenever he loses and England v Wales bet with me.

Im in two mind whether or not to sell my PL FUT squad. Currently 5-3-2 but I want to change formation to 4-3-3 pace abuse.
Its either sell my PL squad or Sell my Serie A squad and then make a 4-3-3 pace abusing squad with the league Ive sold.
Suppose eventually i could do both but I dont know which to start with.

I love Giggs but I think he has been massively overated, he plays in patches two good games 6 bad games and thats when he was supposed to be at his best.

I didn't know Giggs was mixed race until a year ago or so. He doesn't look it to me, I always thought he just had a tanned complexion.

Criticising Giggs is akin to being anti royalty at this point. Guy slept with his bros partner an barely made the news. Dave Jones is front page news however laugh out loud

Wasn't his father mixed race with a welsh mother and a father from some African country? His father was a rugby player wasn't he

I think his dad was black from Sierra Leone, but he might have been mixed race. It would make sense that Giggs looks a bit less mixed race because of all the extra DNA thrown in the pot.

I always like the families that end up giving birth to an entirely black child when they are both white. It's some sort of genetic throwback thing but I bet the father isn't laughing to begin with.

Its good hes on for another year. He wont play as much or to a high standard as in the past but it will be great for younger players. Look at how Rafael spoke about him the other day.
Giggs has been in the PL since the birth, he knows the game, he has adapted with the times & has a extensive wealth of exp which will always benefit young players.

Young players at a cluib like Man United need that experience player to help them off the field. High expectation come with being at a top club, especially one which competes for several major honors every season.

Yes Afro his dad was mixed race too and with his mum white it wasn't as obvious to tell if Giggs is mixed race or just tanned. His dad was an alcoholic rugby player I read his autobiography.

On the coaching aspect, not all coaches will travel with a team on away days. Giggs has much more exp with tough away days, European in particular.
As an example: Last time we played Real Madrid in 2003 Ferdinand, Scholes & Giggs were involved, they have been there & done it unlike any of your team now, especially the younger lads.
Experiences like this go a long way in helping a young player who has never walked out onto the Santiago Bernabeu pitch & does not know what to expect in a match the world will be watching.

The way Man United are structured on & off the pitch as a club has been a huge influence to their success. Older experienced players helping to nurture the youth Man United are renowned for bring through the ranks or purchasing & developing is a big part of that.

Thats because we have a world class player in RVP to bale us out, Giggs wqs terrible from August-January he misplaced passes, couldn't beat his man, tried to many flicks and tricks that didn't work out.

The guys I mentioned will help out the younger players just because they have never playee at camp nou themselves don't mean they can't help a player through it.

They will perform well on the pitch, Giggs is a professional footballer who is at least earning 80 grand a week im sorry but at the end of the day it comes to performances and Gigs just dont produce enough quality at consistent level to deserve a new contract. An banging on aexperience doea not justify a place in the squad especially when we have international captains playerw who have played in world cup finals semis european cup etc.

Viva is being a bit ageist imo. He clearly is one of them pace abusers on fifa who use Remy and Walcott and quick sell legends like Giggs, Totti etc.

Agree. Way I see it is Giggs isn't being put before the club. Hes being used to assist the club in the development of young player, the next generation if you like which is clear to see SAF is building & setting up the core of the team for year to come for the next manager.

Giggs was terible earlier in the season. Hes only had a few decent matches this season. I agree with you on that.
They players you do mentioned do help the younger player. Agreed. But none of them has done what Giggs has done though. Giggs knows Man United like no other player in that squad.

RVP to bale us out

RVP has paid tribute to his team mates for supporting him. He has saved us in a few games, big games but he does not bale Man United out. Hes a match winner, game changer, hes doing his job.

Back to the point, a big point by the way which all Man United fans should be aware of, Giggs knows Man United as a club through & though like no other player in that squad. Look at:
Rooney blatantly isnt loyal, holding the club to ransom over a big contract.
Vidic isnt Serbia captain anymore, heck I dont think hes player for them for a while.
Rio, well we all know about his international career.
Ever, well thats another we all know.
So just cuz Giggs hasnt played on a big international level like others doesnt mean none are without there differences/problems, pros & cons.

yo zeb how come you play 5-3-2 on fut? That is a way to defensive dormationo imo. I use 2 formations on various teams, 3-5-2 and 4-5-1 are my 2 favourites. 3-5-2 is totally OP. I got Stankovic and Kuzmanovic as my DM's in my serie a team and they scored some beast long range scorchers.

Nadz, I play 5-3-2 with my PL & Serie A team but I set it to ultra attack in game so the wingbacks get right up the pitch, makes it more 3-5-2 but adds stability to defending (unless there caught out of position).
My La Liga/Bundersilga hybrid is 4-2-3-1

Have you seen the UP Martins that plays for Levante? From 75 ovr to 79. His pace has been increased and he has 5 star weak foot. 95 acceleration and 93 sprint speed.. Sweaty as hell but gets the job done in div 1. I'm just waiting for UP El Shaarawy's price to drop so i can get him.

Obviously not Zidane, more factors then just playing well. Performance, morale, fitness, consistency, experience, leadership etc are just some reasons why a player should be in yhe team. Giggs really has experience and what im saying is yes we don't have a player of Giggs experience but they are experienced enough to leader the younget players in big matches and can offer more on the pitch then giggs.

Vidic has retired from Serbia but that dont mean he loses the experience of that. Its ok for you to say other players rescue thier sides like Bale etc its a team game I know. Giggs

But he doesn't play for an elite european side. He plays in Brazil. How many people will regularly see him play. At least with milan he could be seen. But now he will have to get his form back to what made him one of the best strikers in the world and move back to a top european side in a year or 2 to get the recognition he needs to be rated.

The other problem was with that, Nadz, is he was massively out of favour at Milan too, so didn't play anywhere near enough towards the end. He has gone back to Brazil with people remembering that.

Performance, morale, fitness, consistency, experience, leadership

Giggs is good for at least 3 out of this 5. Id imagine behind closed doors in the ins ^ outs of the club hes great for morale, experience & leadership in the dressing room.

Bale is doing most things for Spus by himself tho Viva. Scores 2 goals against West Ham, no assists for either of them, all solo. 2 goals against Newcastle, 1 assist credited 1 solo goal. West Brom & Norwich (Defoe got credited an assist but come on, bale ran from his own half with the ball to score) solo goal. For him to score 6 goal 5 of which are solo goals suggests a bit of carrying.

End of the day we share different opinions on Giggs. You feel he shouldn't be in the squad mainly for playing reasons & there being experience throughout the team. I feel the opposite based on him knowing Man United like no other coupled with his exp my opinion is he can still offer something which is within the club values.
Different reasons different opinions. Clubs are never going to please all their fans.
