I'd hate to be a fly on the wall when that happens!

We go away on friday on our caravan weekend and i was going to take it with us , so i am really phished off



I am going to have to go and charge this up again aswell now

Where are you going? Weather looked nice and dry the other day during the Hull KR match.

we are going to a friends caravan in Mablethorpe near Skegness .

praying for good weather , its only friday to monday but dont fancy being stuck in a caravan with two bored kids if its raining

That coast looks nice... shallow. So you can walk out a bit or is it too silty and dangerous?

i haven't been over there since i was about 10 or 11 , it will bring back some memories as i think it was the last holiday with Dad

I love the seaside. I always think of Dad too when I go to the beach at Manly. There's a picture of him & Mum there in the 60s... I can pinpoint the spot exactly.

i keep trying to remember places we went to , hope some of them are still there

this thing is dieing again so logging off for a bit

got a few things to do today

Day is done for me. Got my super amalgamated at last. (I had 4 separate funds) Showed the structural engineer where the door to the sub-floor crawl space was. Had a nice lunch at my new local. Sun was out... heaven.

13th anniversary of my dad's death today. Strange. I started a new temping job last Thursday so nobody here knows which makes it easier. They seem a nice bunch though, and one of the girls is in the process of buying my neighbour's house! Seriously small world syndrome!

Oh Swanny. Thinking about you today. I hope you're having positive happy thoughts about your Dad.

Just keep a poker face if your new colleague starts to probe a little... short, friendly answers, yeah?

Funny, that engineer (above post) was staring at my new neighbour's place (actually the drainage system!) - said he went to school with one of the boys. Then pointed down the road and said "that's where I grew up". Block of flats now so maybe he was feeling a little sentimental too.

Been to see Mum today , she was going on about Mablethorpe and that we should go here and go there ......... i said to her Mum its been 30 odd years since we were there ! they probably aren't there anymore

You better still report back to your Mum at the end of the trip and tell her what's changed.

Just updated my Lions Tour Pub thread. I feel smashed just reading about all the beer and glass sizes.

The lady who is soon to be my neighbour has sent me a link to a website that has heaps of old photos of where we live. I'm keeping myself entertained looking through them, there's some crackers!

I wouldn't be suprised if Mablethorpe hasn't really changed that much Kenny, in a good way. The beach is fabulous if memory serves correctly?

It was good , apart from the freezing cold wind everyday

must be the salt in the air. do they still have old newspaper/ butcher's paper? They one near me tastes great and huge servings (because of all the Tongans/Samoans around here)

no just big enough for one , they said it makes it easier to carry

just have to make sure your fingers aren't covering the vent hole.

doesn't taste the same though , a bit like eating it with a fork rather then your fingers
