Early april fools?
Might be a masterstroke. As I said before, Sunderland need a kick up the backside. Di Canio wont go quietly

Joking aside this appointment is already looking like one big can of worms. This could end horribly for both parties.

I dunno, from the point of view that the job hes tasked to do is short term and keeping them in the PL primarily. The one thing Di Canio can do is get them geared up for a dogfight. Under MON, there wasn't much fight or bite.

Flip side to that is Di Canio's inexperience against MON's experience. All seems very desperate to me from Sunderland

Have you read it? Marcotti was wonderful on Twitter last night, having ghost written the autobiography.
He wasnt making a Nazi salute, its a Roman salute of far longer. He is not a racist. He does not agree with much of what Mussolini did, pretty much anything he is famous for internationally are all things Di Canio has criticised. He is not anti-immigration. I would say they are wrong to say he doesnt have fascist sympathies, but fascism was not always the black and white evil it is now seen to be. I honestly dont think there is anything to worry about when it comes to his politics. They are certainly not of any sort of extreme that would worry a football club.

QPR just seem to let the Fulham defenders have to ball with no pressure whatsoever, Hangeland took the ball to within 35 yards of the goal and was allowed to pick a pass at will.
Gonna have to change that

Samba's a funny player. Some say he's playing well, others say he's doing rubbish. It was the same at Blackburn; some said he was a beast, others said he had zero feet skills. I've never known a player like him.

I think he's been decidedly average personally. £12.5m and a 100k a week? Money down the drain

There's no way they'll get 12.5 million back if they sell in the summer. 7 at most.

Samba is never going to be a great ball player, but there aren't many better defenders in the PL.

Yeah, Pique he ain't
I'd be more inclined to take Olly seriously if I didn't know his stance on everything QPR. They've overpaid a lot of players, but Samba is probably one of the few worth overpaying.

Personally I do. Comfortable on the ball, and a very solid defender.

Fair enough as you say each to their own. Think we'll both agree that the partners of Hangeland and Samba are both Poopie

Do you think that AVB got Livermore and Townsend mixed up when he decided to loan players out?
