The charity was set up in 2007, though I can find no mention of it on the Charity Commission website.

The players got an increase to £25k per game back around the same time as the strike; they now donate the fees to charity as it helps bring down the amount of tax they pay on their club salaries (Afro can tell us all about tax dodging).

Ah, public sector chap eh. Good on you. I go to college with loads of public sector people and they constantly moan about how much harder they make life for themselves. That might just be procurement though, loads of EU regs to deal with.

Just looking back at an old league. I had Robin van Persie and Mario Gomez as my two strikers and both were unrated Laugh

Can we get a definitive answer on me selling Cabaye to Olly please? Seeing as "the rules" say it can't happen because Olly (who has missed a total of THREE fixtures since quitting at the end of season 1) is a new manager.

If the rules say it can't, then it can't. Afro said to Viva earlier in the week that Olly counted as a "new" manager, so that is the current stance.

I don't see why it's even come up - the rule is to stop people like CF from being ripped off, but Cabaye for £17.5m seems like a fair deal.

CF wasn't strictly a new manager either, he'd been in leagues with us before. He was just a bit slow on the uptake. £5m for Hitzlsperger Laugh

If you (Marky), and Olly are both happy with the deal then I would say you can appeal to Afro to see if he'll relax the rules considering experience. I'd be minded to seeing as Cabaye went for £24m on here before, but it isn't me that needs convincing.

I am dead against this posting TPs for other people. I think it was Afro last time round who posted about 12 deals in the same post, meaning that half the new players went, and the rest of us (who were actually here and posting as he was) lost out because of it.
