Do the Lions still need an out and out #7.
Away from who should go and all of the other Lions team selection threads (Sorry for yet another), With Pocock now out of the Test series do the Lions still need that out and out Openside Flanker? Hooper was fantastic in the Autumn series, but i don't feel he offers the same annoyance as Pocock at the breakdown. With that in mind could we select two more modern flanker such as Ferris and O'Brien, to play at the same time to offer a more running threat on the harder pitches down under.

Yes. Not necessarily to nullify another 7 but to stop as much quick ball as possible. Aus still have fantastic backs. The longer it takes for them to get the ball, the better it will be for the Lions

Yes, which is why Warbs and Tips will be going. Both are strong and can carry well and 'jackal' well.

THe replacements for Pocock look amazing, Hooper and Smith so yes we will definitely need two very good sevens, limited to a few choices, Rennie, Barclay, Armitage, Tipuric, Henry and luckily Warburtons kick up the Backside seems to have worked wonders

Too much focus on a 7. Australia are the worlds most dynamic team and that's what Gatland will have to counter. I can't understand the -vety about the Lions based on the 6 Nations. I think we will go there and over power them up front and take the ball to them in our backs in 3 tests, it won't be easy but we certainly have the personnell between all 4 home nations to do this.
