Gambling is a consequence of horse racing, not the other way around. Racing was around well before there was money involved.

But if there is a chance of horses surfing, then I am in favour of throwing money at it.

It hasn't changed but Roy admitted he didn't actually speak with Rio before the call up.

In that case, I blame him for it. Not that it matters, just call up Taylor or someone.

Just read the report on Rio.

It's not really Rio being classless, nor is it Rio sticking two fingers up to Roy Hodgson as Viva's initial post suggested.

It's Rio wanting to be involved, meeting Hodgson to discuss the particular routine he would need and them coming to joint decision that it would not be possible with England. Rio then goes on to say he still wants to play for England, which suggests it was not possible for this series of games, but something they will look at for the future.

Good on him!

Viva, dont start on Horse. They probably have a better lifestayle than you & they dont pay for it. They just run a race for it.
Im sure if your could live the high life for free by running a few races in a season/year you would do the same thing.

Are you sure Mr Zidane? I've done my knee over now if I was a racing horse they would put me down straight away and sell me to tescos. I know what life id rather have.

Why he an idiot Olly? Because Roy was so ashamed of how he dropped him before he didnt bother to speak to him prior to this call up? So thats Rios fault?
Good on Rio. Woy & the FA messed him about before.

Not wanting to ruin the Bundesliga highlights for anyone planning to watch them, but I see Sahin, being played in his best position by Dortmund, had another storming game.

Meanwhile Joe Allen, who Liverpool chose to play in Sahin's best position, whilst Sahin was played too far forward, was rubbish again and substituted at half time against Southampton.

Joe Allen must be the most useless footballer in the Premier League. Bar none.

He passes it 5 yards to Gerrard or Suarez and people just waltz by him. He cost £15 million. It's staggering

I'm just praying that Liverpool keep faith with Rodgers for much, much longer.

How a man who was riding the crest of a wave created by someone else at Swansea could get such a big job, so easily, is still amazing to me.

Plenty, but I am used to it now.

I get a bit of slack because I do support Wales in every game except for when they play England, but they are not one to miss an opportunity to take the mick.

Funniest thing is they genuinely can't comprehend that I wouldn't want to assume Welsh nationality now that I have lived there long enough to get it. It's serious when I say they think that highly of being Welsh that they just assume that everyone else wants to be as well.

My boss is Welsh and he was at the game. I don't get stick because I'm not a renowned rugby man, but there is a heavy rugby lean in my office generally and he's been gloating.

I wouldn't take a dual nationality unless it was to help me get a visa. And what's the point in being "Welsh" when you already have a British passport.

They believe you would want the additional "status" that comes with being Welsh.

On any form that asks for nationality, my wife puts Welsh. I always used to put British, but I now put English just to counter her Laugh Oh, and I always put her as British when I'm completing them, just to annoy her.

I always argue that Welsh isn't a nationality as Wales isn't a nation. it's an English protectorate

I don't have to pay for prescriptions. That is the only perk I can think of, and even then I get that being English anyway. It is offset as well, because we have to pay 5p for our carrier bags mad

Maybe it's just London then.

But there is a list of people that don't pay (students, jobless losers, the Welsh) and I don't qualify on any of that so I pay £7.40 a pop when I need a prescription.

This is the first time I've wished I didn't contract gonhorrea.

I think everywhere in England you pay, with the exception of those Soddy listed.

At least your carrier bags are free

Everywhere I have to pay for bags. Even in McDonalds! It's costing me, quite literally, pence every month

McDonalds charge for bags?

I shudder to think what you're paying for your sauces and dips

I hate the international break.

Would rather have a full saturday programme than watch England play the international equivalent of Bournemouth

Sauces are free, but 5p to have it in a bag. Your committed to that cost if you go round the drive through. I mean, you're not going to have your food handed over not in a bag and who takes their own bag to McD's.

It's a good job I'm so slim and healthy and don't visit such establishments
