Cole doesn't attack as much because Hazard doesn't track back, whereas Malouda and other LWs previously at least made an attempt to help out defensively.
hum yeah suppose that could be why hes a bit more reserved this season.

While I love Appo for his time at Albion, I'm not sad one bit about his sacking - he left Blackpool high and dry after two months in the job, seeking greener pastures. Well I hope it was worth it Appo Rolling Eyes

Surely there isn't a manager in the country that would take that job? They may as well give Danny Murphy the job.

To be fair, you did think you'd put Bony in your team too Whistle

Agreed, Mbia is nowhere near good enough for this league now. Maybe when we first started out, but when you have the likes of Xavi, Lamela, Tevez, Farfan? He'd get murked every game. Plus I don't think he's a natural DM anyway is he?

i took over your team azzy and who is bony lol

Bony could be TNBT as a striker or he could be another that flatters to deceive as he's banging them in the Dutch League. 33 goals, 33 games. Was linked with a 12m move to Newcastle in the window. Thought of as the new Drogba as he comes from the Ivory Coast.

1. It wasn't hard for Dawson to mark him from the stands.
2. I set Dawson, an established PL CB in top form for a top 4 side, to rough him up while I had cover in behind if Bony got free.

They're inexperienced Cherries.

Nastasic has played in what one Manchester derby? Caulker in one North-London derby?

Big time experience of big games there

Bony is good, he is shaping up to be the "new" Drogs.
Because he plays in the dutch league no one rates him that highly, so hes correct in saying you should rate eriksen so highly.
IMO I rate Bony, I reckon he would bully some PL defenders, Dawson one of them. not saying he would get the better of him all the time but Dawson would be in for a battle with Bony.

I just think your backline could do with an experienced head at CB to lead the line, especially with a young LB as well

Calling Bony the new Drogba is a bit of stretch. It is only because he is Ivorian and not because he plays that much like him.

Comparing him to how Eriksen is rated is not really accurate. Eriksen has done it in CL against big sides and in internationals against big sides. Bony has still to really impress for Ivory Coast from what I have read

Lukaku is still the new Drogba, and he's proving it by scoring goals in the Premier League. 14 starts, 13 sub appearances, 13 goals, 3 assists. All in a mid-table team.

Unlike Bony who's scoring for free in a league renowned for handing out goals like toffees at an Everton game.

Bryan Ruiz tore the Dutch league apart as did Alfonso Alves. Eriksen has done on a much higher level than both, and for more than a season and a half.

But Bony is not the new Drogba by any stretch. Ignoring that he plays differently, he is decent enough, but not going to be in that class IMO

Well I saw him play extremely well against Man City this season - twice - and I thought he and Bendtner were the only decent players for Denmark at the Euros.

I've seen him do it countless times for Denmark, including against England. I have also seen him perform in the CL against teams like Real.

This could well be right, but Cherries has the present day Bony, not the one from 2/3 years time. Plus if you watch him in games, rather than YouTube highlights, he doesn't do it consistently. The closest Premier League striker I can think to compare him to is probably Yakubu Laugh

Bryan Ruiz tore the Dutch league apart as did Alfonso Alves.

So did Suarez & Van Persie, they seem to be doing okay on the current Premier League top scorer charts...

Yakubu may have been fat, lazy, and fat, but he scored tons of goals. I'd have a 'prime' Yakubu in my team if I could, he was superb. Always a threat.

I'd love to see Bony and Aubameyang make big moves this summer, they are probably the two potential big strikers to come from Europe.

Thing with Bony is he is obviously doing well, but he is doing it in a so called lesser league, without having really had a chance to show it on a big stage.

He's the Dutch league equivalent of Glenn Murray #fishing

REASONINGSINGS

Dos Cervezas por favour 2-1 Deportivo la Chorizo
Interesting battle between the sides. Marky uses Toulalan really well by keeping him zonal and making sure there is less space in front of the CBs, however the other midfielders will have to keep step with the athletic Sissoko bursting forward. There is some joy to be had on the flanks against the attacking wingers Gregers puts out and I can see it being the difference. Solid as ever from Gregers but there seems to a little something lacking in the side and I can’t quite put my finger on it.

Under Brescia 2-1 No Respek
Asking Perin to use all of his experience gave me a chuckle. I have some suspicion of Bull’s well written tactics; credit to him if they are all his of course, I am just suggesting a whiff of Mahmood in them. Anyway, I think that NR line up too narrow and expose their full backs who primarily are noted for attacking. Robben and Affelay will make hay I fear. Jovetic is probably the one I’d be pushing up front on his own, just as an aside, with Tevez behind. Jovetic is a more physical presence and I think he better fits the mould of lone striker against two superb centre backs. There is a goal for NR, Defoe shoots from anywhere and eventually gets on to a Ba flick on. Good strike pairing that, actually.

Bratwurst Mannschaft 1-1 Pass the Deutschie
Deutschie seem a little defensive in their set up and I think they will be happy to take a point away, despite BM doing much of the pressing. Admirable ability to mix it up from Olly at times and I think they take an early lead, but Viva has a real quality possession game and the three midfielders can monopolise the ball and create the chance to get back into it. After that I think they retreat and play cautious and BM just can’t pick the lock.

------------------------------------

Dos Cervezas Por Favor 1-2 Deportivo La Chorizo
Berbatov for me was a bit isolated upfront with the wingers told to play wide and no real support from midfield. Sissoko was not tracked and was able to create a lot of space and Chorizo have a very strong attack. Hummels and Koscielny right now I would not have faith in.

Under Brescia 5-1 No Respek FC
No Respek aren't showing exactly that, No Respek. They've used exactly the same tactics as last week, talking about Lamela and Pato who aren't playing and have made no preparations against a well-drilled Brescia side who despite having two defensive injuries still look okay in defense.

Bratwurst Mannschaft 3-1 Pass The Deutschie
Both teams are set up well tactically but Bratwurst have a lot more quality throughout their side and with home advantage get a hard fought win. Deutschie have a good pairing at centre back and Holtby is a class act but they need more quality. I'd prefer Godin as the covering defender rather than Cahill though at the back.

-----------------------------------------------

Dos Cervezas por favour 0-0 Deportivo la Chorizo

Stalemate for me, can easily see this game being bogged down in midfield, and with no clear winner in there, I can't see either side having enough to break each other down.

Under Brescia 2-2 No Respek
Goals for me in this. Bull's front 3 will give UB trouble, Eriksen to be a nuisance throughout. Packing the midfield works for Bull, but he's in trouble out wide. Well scouted and set up by Bulls through and he gets a well meritted point.

Bratwurst Mannschaft 2-0 Pass the Deutschie
Like the wing play, caters to the strengths of Ollys squad. Well balanced team, I think they handle PTD

-------------------------------------------

Dos Cervezas por favour 1-1 Deportivo la Chorizo
Berbatov - Soldado
Evenly matchesd teams. Attacking talent of each team gave a score draw.

Under Brescia v No Respek
Jovetic, Tevez -
No Respek had a very narrow midfield. Robben enjoy the time available to pick up the ball then run at the fullback, caused a lot of problems. Eriksen scraped a goal from a set piece.

Bratwurst Mannschaft 1-2 Pass the Deutschie
Mandzukic - Huntelaar x 2
Bratwurst Mannschaft player very attacking, allowed a ball over the top to elude Cahill & Huntelaar to score. Bratwurst Mannschaft overwhelmed their opponants to get back in the game. As it went on it looked like they would get a winner but Farfan's pace used space from an out of position fullback & pin point cross to Huntelaar gave Pass the Deutschie the win.

-------------------------------------------

DCPF 1v1 Chorizo
dembele,,,,,,Isco

the game isdecied in themiddle whereno one gets a advantage, both teams are strong defensivly but have enough to grab a goal each.

BRESCIA 1V0 no respek
pirlo
feel brescia have better of gamebut serious trouble breaking down thedefnece, brescia have the better of it centrally, eriksen cause problem but marchisio and irlo control the game, brescia everntully break thru thanks to a FK

BM 2V2 ptd
Mandzukic cabaye,,,,,, Farfan x2

EACH TEAM HAS A STRONG ATTACK in this high scorer, would rather have arfa outwide tho, frafan has a strong one and get his reward,

-------------------------------------------------

Bratwurst Mannschaft 1-1 Pass the Deutschie - tight game too hard to separate so gone draw

Under Brescia 0-1 No Respek - No respek are tactically spot even if Montolivo should of started over Giggs they've compressed the midfield and let the full backs keep the wingers quiet, They sneak a goal with Defoe getting in behind Howedes

Deportivo C 0-0 Dos Cervezas por favour - a close game nothing stands out between them so gone for the draw

I wasn't talking about goals, I was talking about his bullying of defenders.

Hero - I'm pretty sure Suarez and Van Persie wouldn't have been as highly rated when they played for Ajax and Feyenoord as they are now

he always bullys defenders, he is a monster, by far the best striker in holland ATM

Suarez was like Bony is now scoring goals but no one was entirely sure if he could step up OK

Tight game Viva, seems you were unlucky not to come away with a draw!

I can't believe that, despite Bull stealing my tactics and including instructions for players who weren't even playing, he's managed to do so well Laugh
