Azzy Mahmood wrote:Yakubu may have been fat, lazy, and fat, but he scored tons of goals. I'd have a 'prime' Yakubu in my team if I could, he was superb. Always a threat.

I'd love to see Bony and Aubameyang make big moves this summer, they are probably the two potential big strikers to come from Europe.

^ this exactly sums it up.

Both need to prove it on another level. The game is full of similar stories, some who have gone on to great things, some who have disappeared.

I'm not about to rate a player on how good he may or may not become. I'm going to rate a player on what I can see at the moment (and not just Youtube clips). I see Bony and Aubameyang scoring goals against average defences and nothing else, so they will remain decent strikers with high potential to me until they score goals at a higher level. I actually put Aubameyang ahead of Bony because he shows it more often and has for slightly longer

Having performed at a World Cup and in the CL. When he first broke through he was similar to Bony now, as in a wait and see. Same as Alfonso Alves too.

Agreed Affers, and if rumour is correct then Aubameyang will be playing for one of Chelsea, PSG or Dortmund next season. Interesting to see how he copes with that (I suspect he'll be fine actually). Bony seems to be a Ba/Cisse for me, dominates lesser defences but can't make the step up. But he has time to prove himself to us all.

This could well be right, but Cherries has the present day Bony, not the one from 2/3 years time. Plus if you watch him in games, rather than YouTube highlights, he doesn't do it consistently. The closest Premier League striker I can think to compare him to is probably Yakubu
Yak Attack!!

Burak Yilmaz
I rate him. Good striker & his CL stats show that at the highest level of club football.

It's like Kanu, everyone pretends and says 'oh yeah, you're only 34, wow, you're looking good', when everyone KNOWS he's over 40.

Mind you, even at age 38+ he was Albion's best player when he was there. Legendary skillz.

I remember Wolves signing George Ndah & him breaking his leg against the scummy Tesco carrier bags. I was at that match. Was also at the one when he returned from injury & bagged a brace in a win over the Tesco carrier bags.

I remember that too, I was happy for the guy even if I was upset at losing. Still, it all turned out alright in the end, we're pushing for a European place and Wolves are pushing for a League One place Wink

Mark Bunn will get a 1 match ban for a simple handball and a red card.

McManaman will get nothing for a potential career ending tackle.
