In defence of why McManaman should not be banned...

Simply due to the current letter of the law, the ruls state if it had been examined and decided upon at the time by the referee and their assistant then it can not be further dealt with by the FA.
Yes this rule is wrong but they cannot simply cherrypick cases to break this rule based on public outcry and a witchhunt. They need to change the law first.

He was terrible in midfield and I hammered him until he quit. But it was tough to adjust to at the beginning.
