My first ever visit to Za Za Bazaar. Full of hen parties, but what a cheap, tacky, fantastic concept for a restaurant.

Azzy Mahmood wrote:See I don't agree with that. While I'm obviously biased towards my old team, I think Bull just automatically gets votes against him for being, well, Bull. The team he put out was imo slightly better than Nando's, and while his tactics look dreary on screen, actually reading them shows that he's set them up well both defensively and offensively. Nando on t'other hand seemed to think that Defoe is the second coming of Messi, with 6 of his players given explicit instructions about dealing with him. I can't see how Bull loses that game at all, never mind 3-1. I just think people haven't read the tactics and given consideration to what's been put.Marky wrote:More bad luck than mismanagement. No Respek have better GD than some other teams but there just happens to be no possible outcome in the last match to put them through.
I'm fully prepared for a backlash btw, feel free, but if Bull was managing a different team I'd be saying the same thing. And it's not taking away from Nando's win, well done mate, but I don't see Bull ever getting a result - ever - with his good tactics being largely ignored.
Bull's actually quite good at tactics, so to an extent I agree with this. He has some clever ideas and deserves a bit more kudos.
I think this week they weren't quite right from my perspective and need a bit of fine tuning, but they are a good example that you can do good tactics without needing to waffle. Think I might copy him a bit and trim my down a bit

mmm seems like Bony needs to score at least 45,985 goals in the next few weks then if i have any chance of progressing, seeing as thatll be what it takes for people to take him seriously ....
btw im better today, think i over did it last night
we lost 4-3
were 3-0 at HT (20mine ach way)
pulled it back to 3-3 in the seond half
then conceded with 3 seconds to go to lose 4-3
it was literaly sickening

I don't eat breakfast, which is why when I do, I go full throttle. Last time I had breakfast was Saturday 9 March, all you can eat breakfast but with my Mum in attendance so couldn't go crazy (only went back for seconds, rather than thirds/fourths). Last time I had breakfast before that was Tuesday 25 December 2012, medium fry up cooked by the mother in law. And the time before that was Friday 6 July 2012, last day of our summer holiday so we went to a local cafe and had a medium fry up for £4.
I hate all cereals, don't like toast without accompanying fry up, and fruit is boring. I have a glass of water and get cracking with my day.

That sounds horrendous as a concept!!!
The just sheer amount of different food options must mean a huge amount of waste and produce that has preservatives galore in to store it. Also due to the huge range then I can't see how the chefs (for chefs I presume its spotty kids out of college) can master the dishes. I imagine there's a lot of microwaves back in the kitchen.

It's all cooked in front of you. There is a different station for each type of food, and there are specialist chefs in each station (so ones specifically for doing the chinese food, ones for indian food etc and without wanting to sound racist, they look like they are cooking the food of their own culture if you catch my drift.)
I had reservations about the food being sat around, but you'd be amazed how quickly it turns over, due to the sheer number of customers. The food isn't top quality, but I love the variety.

Best place I've ever eaten was Rodizio Ricos. All you can eat meat for £22-ish, cooked in full view of everyone, and the waiters bring it to your table and carve it straight onto your plate. Salad bar, chips, everything all there for helping yourself, and they give you a paddle with red on one side, green on the other - if you turn it to read they leave you alone, but keep it green, and they slice the meat right off. I must have eaten half a cow, 2/3 of a horse, and an entire pig that night.

The amount of food they must have to store then must be huge for such a wide variety of cultures and flavours. I suppose its handy when you go out as a group and no one can decide where to go! I'm the one that wants to always try something new whilst there's always one or two that want the plainest thing on the planet and everyone ends up then having a standard Chinese or Indian which bores the pants off me.

You'd probably like this Indian/Pakistani place I went to the other day. It was in the deep dark depths of East London and it served "authentic cuisine". I.e. not a vindaloo in sight.
It was really quite nice actually, but not as hot as I would have liked. Damn expensive too.

Yes probably would, if I go for an Indian I want it to be an Indian, not the English perception of an Indian restaurant with sauces galore smothering the food.
It's like Curry mile in Manchester, what a load of rubbish that is. The vast majority of the restaurants there are horrendous.

This was a pretty up market joint, and I could tell that purely by the amount of white folks with big black rimmed glasses eating there. As it was authentic you couldn't buy booze from them, but they allowed you to bring your own in
I had this spinach and beef thing and it was great. The best thing by far were their lamb chops though. They were incredible.

Preferred eating experiences for me would be...
Sapporo Teppanyaki: Japanese in Castlefield, offers sushi and range of Japanese dishes that are prepared at the table.
Loch Fyne: Love seafood and there's a couple of these in Knutsford and Alderly Edge, last anniversary we had lobster and oysters, that was my months wage blown!
The Mongolian Barbeque: Just off Canal St in Manchester, pick your meat, pick your spices, watch it be cooked. Great fun place to go.

You should probably be pleased more than worried
We went to Hooters in Vegas and got beaten by their 50 wing platter. We're going back for round two, and so help me I will ingest that chicken if it kills me. Which it may.
Where is good to go out in Nottingham, by the way?

50 wing platter, easy. 150 might be a challenge. It's like steak - I was physically restrained by my uncle from continuing eating steak, I was about to order my 7th 14oz steak when he said I could die if I eat too much

Ok
I will get a coffee and start on the PL lawyers now. Be up in half an hour I should hope. Barring a mass collapse of a contract that would require my attention.
