Can't believe GSC and Olly don't agree with me on Alexis Sanchez cheating to win a penalty last night.

GSC even admitted he was looking to win a penalty! He beat Sirigu to the ball, knocked it past him knowing he wouldn't get near the ball (it went for a goal kick) and he waited for the contact. He won the foul, therefore its cheating! How you can say otherwise is beyond me.

Morning.

I agree Marky. Sanchez didn't have the ball under his control & went in to win the penalty

I didn't think Beckham played badly during the 70 minutes he was on, and I can see why he was picked. His passing is still pinpoint and his set pieces can cause big problems.

Still, Verratti came on and was magnificent. Albeit for 20 minutes only.

Thiago Silva too. I think Clive Tyldesley was creaming his pants over him by the end.

He kicked the ball and literally like a millisecond afterwards the keeper takes him out. I'd love to have seen how he was meant to get out of the way in the time there was.

I can see both points actually.

He deliberately knocked the ball away to take the contact and he had no intention of staying on his feet. Equally though, the keeper cleans him out. Whether he was able to score if he stays on his feet or not is irrelevant really.

Olly, the angle from behind the goal clearly shows Sanchez's leg "drag" behind him and be hit by Sirigu's chest. Its cheating, but it worked as it fools people like you into thinking he was callously taken out by an onrushing goalkeeper when he was certain to score.

Sirigu takes out the leg he kicks the ball with first.

He knicks the ball away, the keeper catches the leg he has just kicked the ball with, it's a foul.

Is it because the ball went out of play? Because there was a lot of contact...

Morning lads, hope you all had a good Easter OK

The game last night had it all - great goals, swish passing, flicks, tricks, late drama, cheating...a great game of football. I thought Beckham looked quite good, especially considering his relative lack of match sharpness and his age.

On the FUT front, I had 28k coins last Wednesday - as of this morning I have 111k in the bank, plus 88k of cards on sale which will get me a further 132k, plus a further 132k of cards in my consumables pile which would get me a further 198k in sales. So I've gone from 28k to (once all the cards I have currently have sold)...441k.

All by buying 4-4-2 formation cards for 2,200 MAX, then selling them for 3,200 or 3,300 BIN. A profit of 840-940 each time I sell one, and I generally sell anything between 3-5 per hour. As I'm at work I expect to sell c.25 while I'm here, which means I'll have made a profit of 21k-23.5k.

Rather than spend the cash on improving from Neuer to Casillas (110k), I'm just saving up for the TOTW Messi, which I reckon I'll have by mid-April.

Yep! Thats spot on.

Wasn't there some sort of rule stating you had to have the ball under some sort of control to win the/a foul? or along those lines?
Or am I just imagining that.

I don't know if that rule exists. I mean you get pens given for pushing at corners and holding, and that guy isn't in control of the ball, just being prevented from getting there.

I'm not sure. It's a common sense rule really isn't it?

I mean if I boot the ball 60 yards out of the stadium and then get tripped after doing so, it probably shouldn't be a foul.

The ref had to give the pen last night though. Clear contact and he could have potentially reached tha ball afterwards. He was only booked because it wasn't a clear goalscoring chance.

Get an IF Andy Carroll instead

I was practicing penalties on Fifa yesterday and trying to work out if there is a special method to tell which way the keeper is going. There is, but by the time you see which way he's falling you can't actually move the penalty and it goes straight on.

I've been too efficient guys.
Literally no work to do because I've done it all, and I've even done work that doesn't need to be done until October.

Someone say Jack Wilshere is the best player ever or something, I need an afternoon's entertainment at this rate.

I've spent this morning doing zero work, and have done two of my three lots of tactics due this week all by mobile.

And I've eaten a whole Smarties Easter Egg. Mainly one decent sized egg and one tube of Smarties. Apparently they're unsuitable for my daughter so I "volunteered" to take the candy covered bullets.

I try to play three games every night, 2 FUT and one career mode (my Albion/England game). I've never done the Be a Pro mode or whatever it is, as I don't like the camera angles and don't like being fixed to one player all game.

You can change the camera back to tele or whatever your preference is in Be a Pro. I have it on tele so I can see more of the field. I completed a whole season on BAP and then got loaned out again so I got fed up with it and went all in on Manager.

Well as you know, I won the Euros with England, and the league with Albion. I think the cash injection unlockable may have helped me a bit though Whistle

There are no camera angles on BAP that make it easy to play, and even if there was, I still don't like being 'restricted' to the one player. I'm very much a team player.

Nearing the end of hour three, how many 4-4-2s will I sell?
