After the little Easter break the Music Cup is back and hopefully this round is less of a hot bed than the Hip Hop one (though I'm not holding my breath on some of the choices Wink

Once ten rounds were done I was going to open it up to others to join as well and commence again.

I originally only had ten people allowed due to the poll having a cap of ten. Now it's tweaked I can do up to 50 so I thought other smight want to take part (or some might want to drop out?)

I reckon it's fair to announce an initial "winner" after 10 rounds - then open it up again to more/different people. Would be good to see it continue though in one form or another

I think of myself as someone that has a very broad taste in music, from dubstep to punk, from happy hardcore to folk, from hip hop to Brit pop, from bubblegum to nu metal. But I seriously cannot stand Country & Western.

You are only expanding it to annoy me!

If you have to, I think a song from the year you were born would be a good round.

I also think you should pick an artist with a huge catalogue and make people pick one (ie Elton John, Queen, Elvis , Wacko etc)

One hit wonders would be good.
And you are right - the borwn envelope was a pretty poor idea, although I am still going to use it when I come back in 2018!

It could be entirely relevant when writing a review of a football match for instance.

I like the idea of having a song from the year you were born. Obviously then we would get a wide variet of choices, ranging from Davie in the 1800s (only joking mate!) to me and maybe a couple others born in the 1990s
