PLEASE NOTE - this season you will receive a 1 point deduction if you do not submit tactics (as well as a default loss) and a 1 point deduction if you do not vote. If you know in advance you are unable to do either, then you must state so on the Holidays/Days Off page, to avoid the penalties.

Then you quickly get to the point where all the good players are signed, no-one wants to sell, and it gets stale.

I hate to say it, but whoever had the idea for 4 weeks of injuries may have had the right of it Shocked

£5m budget means we will all be buying Norwich standard players. Make the TP limit increwould give everyone a bettert the mid point of the season, £7.5m. This means with no Fgn signing domestic tps should be flowing. End of season up the limit to £10m. Continue with that give us a transfer window mid season & end of season. By the end of season 2 limit will be £15m. Season 3 £20m. We should get 3/4 seasons out of it as the better player won't come in till season 3 onwards.
Star player of £10m to start & then we could do one at start of season 3 for £20m. this would give everyone a "better" player than what is available at the time & the start of season 3 one will help keep it fresh as it would be considered a big upgrade on the level of player owned byteams

You're probably right. I think we're just pining for the old days when it was a hive of activity. Just looked back and in December we were getting through 20 pages in a week... We've only just cracked 11 in 8 days on this one.

We could go back to the old days of having subjective TPs...

I mean the problem with lower value players is that there are loads of them and I think people will still shop outside of the league more often than not.

The main problem with inter league trading is nobody wants to lose their own players and asks for a kings ransom.

That's the point behind randomising

Then at the end of the season you nominate 3-4 players as 'keepers' an everyone else gets re randomised

If people prefer that then fine. I'd say a mid & off season fgn tp window would be best as it will stop a influx of player coming into the league.
We currently have 2 tps a week and 12 teams, that's a max of 24 players coming into the league in a week, too much.

Back to the tp windows idea, if we make the squad size 32 players, injuries like the old old days where a player can be injured for 3 weeks means we would need a big, balanced squad. Look at my first team now, its good, past that I have no quality in depth, this idea would change that.
Lawyer offers every week but big ones, say 20-30% on players TM value tempting you to sell a player knowing you can't delve into fgn tps as the window is closed creates tough choices. Hopefully it make people buy within the league. When we ate aproching a window people will sell, save & upgrade team in the window the the cycle comes into effect all over again

If you do that Hero what to stop someone making West Brim & someone else ending up with carp team?

Injury idea to go with squad of 32.
Start of season you get 4 random injuries with random time lengths assigned from 1 to 3 weeks. When an injury expires you gain another. This way you will always have four injuries.
To make it interesting, injury selection pool is rotated from starting line up & squad. Eg an injury expires, a new one is taken from starting line up, next injury to exp is taken from squad & so on. This should put more emphasis on the requirement of a better all round squad.
With 4 always injured you still have 28 players at your disposal, more than enough.

Couple this with weekly lawyers & a closed tp window managers will have to manage their squads with more attention.
The amount of time I have failed to fill the sub bench in this league is unbelievable. Realistically you have to name a full squad. If you don't you lose your weekly bonus, that way manager have to maintain a squad instead of selling players off in lawyers for money to use in tp window & naming not enough subs (I'm not the only one who's done it).
