For all you stats lovers
A quickie:
For those of you who like to peruse stats amongst the top players, here's a link I've not seen before on ATP site which gives a nice summary of YTD match facts for top 200 players in PDF format.
http://www.atpworldtour.com/~/media/022CD21EB361436698CB1A0B970E3218.ashx (what a link hey...)
Makes for some quite interesting views and comparisons...e.g. Tsonga is amongst the highest %BPs won, but his %return games won is way down. Hmmm...
Another link: http://www.atpworldtour.com/Rankings/Top-Matchfacts.aspx is similar but in HTML format with fewer columns.
However, you can sort away and choose surface stats to your hearts content.

Re: For all you stats lovers
Wow .... a veritable plethora of stats there ........
I've only got as far as the first list so far, but already some troubling questions resolved : not least about one of my favourite players on the tour, Arnau Brugues-Davi. I've always wondered just how many times he has double-faulted. But I need wonder no longer.
Joking apart.... a host of useful numbers which I'm sure will be of occasional benefit to posters in future debates surrounding the bigger names !
One that just happened to catch my eye was the fact that Almagro has apparently served up 283 aces (assuming no typo) which seems to be the highest of anyone on tour - albeit not the highest average per match.
Somewhere in a darkened basement room at ATP headquarters there is a staff member by the name of A. Norak beavering away day & night to collate all this for us.
Hats off to him ......

Re: For all you stats lovers
Exactly - worry no more about Mr Brugues-Davi.
We had a good discussion the other week about Almagro's serve - for a 6'0 guy he sure punches above his wheight for aces.
The prize money column is interesting too - the amount of variance between similarly ranked players.
Laverfan will surely love these charts
Where is LF these days anyway...

A great link Lyd, certainly thought provoking when it comes to return vs break point conversion.
