Re: Euro Division Homepage LVI
Spanish Bank v Moleicester City
Two very expansive sides, both creating chances and scoring goals. Can't pick a winner, high scoring draw
A game won by the movement of moles attacking players against Rio and Puyol who are not the force they used to be. Very little between the sides though
Two very good attacking sides here, which I felt was tipped in the favour of Moleicester as I think their attackers would have had more success against the Spanish Bank CBs, than vice versa. I felt Spanish Bank were missing a real focal point up front
I like the idea from Bank, but for me I think Moleicester will gain the upper hand in midfield, and despite Bank presenting a threat, I think they miss Benteke up top. I like Moleicester's front four a lot, and I think they cause a lot of problems, and are able to give City a win
Atalanta Falcons v FC Murder
Strong side from Falcons but I don't think anyone can match Murder man for man at the moment and they earn their way to an entertaining win.
I'm sorry but 4-4-2 does not win matches anymore. Verratti and Dembele were able to pick their moments and set up a beautiful goal for Reus early on, Ballo scored late on but a second reus goal in the second half won the game
Two strong sides again. Murder have set themselves up well and have made some top signings, whilst Atalanta continue to go from strength to strength. I can't separate them tbh.
I like the set up to Falcons, there midfield three compliment each other perfectly. However I do feel they could benefit from having a target man playing at the head of the front 3, as sometimes when on the back foot, they may need an out ball. I like the set up from Zidane's side, they are showing good intent, and attacking flair. I think they're worth a point.
VFL Bassender v FC ElphickforJustics
Bassender have developed really well into a world class side, E4J look strong but with Gerrard advanced it leaves Nocerino too much to do to stop the Bassender AM's and it costs them the game despite the goalscoring partnership upfront.
Trebs must be a genius because he's turned around bassender ridiculously well. A tight game that trebs side eventually won. The championship is so tight!
Both managers have done great jobs on these sides and this league is evenly matched throughout. Bassender won this one because although on paper, the two sides are well matched, the tactics were better and made better use of their players.
I like Elphick's team, and if they put more effort in, I think they have a good basis to go from, however on this day Bassender are simply better set up and better instructed, so they pick up a routine win

I fancy you for another this week as it's you v me.
My own transfers and the injuries have left me a bit thin on defenders this week. I'm considering just taking the hit and not trying to do something about it

MY BENDER HAS BEEN INJURED
My first game back was against you Afro. Nearly took you down with the 4-4-1, man marking system.
Hopefully I can get Top 3 in the league now, only a point off Gregers I think

I'm a bit more relaxed about the league games now.
Winning this week was massive and has given me a handy gap. Think I now only need 3 points from 3 games.

I know you have Olly. Think it was last week you gave the positive feedback on it.I'm a fan of 4-4-2 Zebs as I have said the past two weeks.
Simply saying 442 doesnt work anymore is BS. That person deserves to be named & shamed.

Very few teams play 4-4-2 nowadays, I wonder when it will come back into fashion?

Re: Euro Division Homepage LVI
I don't think it's really gone out of fashion, it's just tweaked slightly to be more flexible these days. City seem to play a variant of 4-4-2 when Tevez and Aguero play.

Well which ever one of you it was, shame on you. You have let your self down, your have let your pretend players down & most of all you have let Scholes+ down. Hang your head in shame for such silliness.
I am thoroughly disappointed in you

Real have Diego Lopez to thank for even getting close. That save in the 2nd half (couldn't work out who from as was watching on my phone, was it Gundogan?) was absolutely top class
